It just says Orange on mine...but then I've locked to Orange. I'll change it back to Automatic to see what happens.Northern Ireland club member No 382 :j0

Now it just says T-Mobile.Northern Ireland club member No 382 :j0

Mine says "T-Mobile Orange" when inserted in my HTC Desire and "Orange" in an old Sony Ericsson.
It must be something on the SIM and possibly with the FroYo update? Handy in a way as it means the phone doesn't think it's roaming when on Orange (when in actual fact it is, can see network code 234 33 instead of 234 30)0 -

It just depends on the model of the handset, some will display different things, and to answer your earlier question they're looking to increase the number of masts rather than reduce, they're currently aiming for roughly 18000 3G enabled masts and more on 2G0 -
So if it says " Orange T-Mobile " or " T-Mobile Orange " it is in fact only running on the one network ie either Orange or T-Mobile its not jumping between the 2 of them??0
-
Yes, they obviously altered some software on the handsets to show this. The true network is the 2nd one displayed.0
-
Not sure you can. Tried in a Nokia and it is just showing up the true network name (i.e. T-Mobile or Orange)
What do you see on the manual network selection menu?
I'm an Orange customer and can see the following networks when i do a manual network search....
Orange
vodafone UK
O2- UK
Orange T-Mobile0 -
