What are the early indications of this have people already started receiving better signal than before?
I know it doesnt go live till 5th Oct. Just thougght they might have started testing it early.

From today you can now roam on the orange network on 2g only
you have to sign up as it is still in test stage

I have done a couple of test calls and texts on orange Im a T-Mobile customer all were fine.0 -
For me it hasnt helped one bit ( still cant use my work mobile at home ) so joined O2 ( personal phone ) and hey presto..i can now use my mobile phone.. I travel the UK quite a lot, and noticed that O2 seem to have a better coverage..0

Works here fine also, though am a T-Mobile customer and the T-Mobile signal is quite a bit better than Orange here anyway.
VillanUK - I would probably agree with that on their 2G network as a generalisation. There are however plenty of exceptions. For example when I was in Cornwall, T-Mobile, 3 and Orange had excellent 3G coverage of the village. Vodafone and o2 had nothing whatsoever.0 -
I've locked my T-Mobile phone unto Orange permanently because the reception is much better than the non existent I was getting.Northern Ireland club member No 382 :j0

For non-existent coverage you shouldn't need to leave it 'locked to Orange' - it should now just switch back (after registering on Orange once) on Automatic.
If you mean you were getting 1 bar of T-Mobile before, then you would need to select manual to stop it using T-Mobile.0 -

There is a flaw of course that you need a signal to do the above in the first place!0

Go here today. Looks like the T-Mobile process.
But it doesn't work at the moment, returning an internal server error when you fill the form in. Orange once again never ceases to muck up.0
