How are you paying for the flight to Australia?

Flights are all paid for now.. My man paid most of the flight cost, my brother paid for some for my birthday, and my mam and dad helped too, as well as my wages etc.

WOW what an amazing person you are. I am nearly 50 and don't think I could have coped as well as you have done.

Well done for rising above all the carp that has been thrown at you over the past few months.

Don't think too harshly about Globetrotters words they may not have meant anything bad by it. I have to admit that I had similar thoughts and if posted I wouldn't have meant them as a slight against you just concern that you have come so far and it all seems to have happened quickly in a couple of posts - that are actually a while apart. (nothing wrong in that I left my hubby - also emotional abuse - and within 6 months met my hubby and I knew then and there we would be together (10 mths later we were living together and are still here 17 years later) and remember that often when things are written the tone of voice used isn't shown . We also don't know how long you have been friends. Globetrotter was probably just concerned that you may be rushing into things.

Have a wonderful trip away and as has been said you may have a while to go before you actually get there again to live but you will have something to focus on to get you where you want to be. I hope things go as you want them to and sending positive thought s for you and your family after all your health problems.

Good SOA LMT, except your holiday allowance is 0... :) Don't want to alarm you but you will find Australia is expensive thanks to the ridiculously strong aussie dollar right now.

So that may be a concern for your holiday, but it shouldn't put you off a move, since once you're living here wages are in line with the cost of living (so generally speaking you earn more but spend more compared to the equivalent lifestyle in England).

I have met a number of Brits that left their jobs in the UK and found work when they arrived. I don't know anybody that has really struggled to do so, but that's purely anecdotal, and things are tightening up here thanks to the recent wobbles in the US/EU.

You might be able to take a look at jobs market during your holiday?

Everything looks good LMT, the only thing that stands out is I'd say you're paying too much for telephony, 100 per month for a landline and mobile is too much.

If you really have £269 left over at the end of each month perhaps you could try some sneaky F&F offers to pay off some of the debts for lower amounts. Either that or just throw it at the smaller debts to clear some off (will make you feel better to owe fewer creditors) - you can just about pay off the top 4 debts in 2 months if you can scrimp an extra £32 from somewhere....
