  • Last year I got a text from a guy who was trying to chat me into bed. He accidently send me a lovely message in which he thanked his wife for being sweet enough to get him the dvds he asked for and added that he loved her. Don't have to tell you what happened after that.
I never realized how much personal info is out there that can be used and abused to suit every purpose.

I was once kind of seeing this guy, we'd had a bit of a snog and then i'd realised i didn't fancy him. I sent a message to him telling him i was sorry blah de blah and i wasn't ready for a relationship and i sent one to my best friend saying how i didn't fancy him and that snogging him had made me realise etc. I sent the messages to the wrong people.:o He never spoke to me again.

I still cringe about this next one 6 years later. :o My eldest Son was about 7 and wanted to text his Dad. I gave him my mobile to use and he sent a message saying how much he missed him and would like to see him more often and was upset that he didn't make much effort. He sent it to my Dad instead and before i had the chance to tell him it was a mistake he'd replied saying he was sorry and would like to see more of me as well. I didn't have the heart to tell him it wasn't me who sent it. I see my Dad a few times a year and we're not very soppy usually. The next day he turned up to see me and he never just pops in.:o

    That is quite sweet really!

This was my hubby's mistake, it was about 8 years ago when camera phones first came out. We had took some photos in the bedroom very up close and personal. Anyway he thought he was hitting save and he wasn't he was hitting send and they ALL went to his best mate at work. Needless to say I felt very uncomfortable around him on social occasions lol

LOL! These stories are hilarious. I think everyone done it at some point.
A family member had offered to sort my car for me a while back but never done it, so I sent a text to my mate moaning about how this family member never did anything for me, calling them names blah blah, then proceeded to send it to said family member.
Immediate "sorry sorry sorry" message sent.
Thankfully family member just quietly accepted apology and fixed car the next week.
The flip side of sanity is the game.
  • We've all done it, or versions thereof! don't worry.

my 16 yr old sent his mate a text last week saying: 'come and call for me, need to get out of house, mum's being a bint' .... which was fine except he sent it to his dad who was downstairs with 'the bint' eating our tea!
Dad went upstairs and said 'your mate won't be calling for you soon' - when DS asked why dad held 'phone up and said 'cos you've text me instead'! DS mortified and apologised to 'the bint' v. quickly....

My DH early in our relationship sent me a text telling me about his day and he couldn't wait to do naughty things to me, sent some naughty messages back and thought nothing of it, rang my dad later in the day and told him about mine and my DH's day, he asked me if he'd been to KFC, which confused me as how would he know that when I hadn't mentioned it, found out my DH had accidentally sent the message to my parent's landline phone so they had the message read out to them in that tinny voice, very embarrassing at the time as we'd only been together a month, but luckily my Dad saw the funny side!

When I got my 1st mobile I sent my brother who lives at the other end of the country a text basically saying "hi finally got a mobile & this is my number" bit later he phoned me after a general chat he got a bit flirty & said we would have to meet up & go out for a drink! Queue me going WHOA bruv it's me Vi & he's freaking out "no your not my sister you don't sound like her" took a bit of persuading that yes despite my accent being less scottish than his he was talking to his sister.
    Booo!!!
