is it possible to sell both avon and be a BSAH consultant does this go against any rules?

Yes, it is possible to sell both, the only rules are that Avon is not supposed to be affiliated with you selling other products... but if you have business cards for both businesses saying you are a rep for each one, should be fine.
  • Morning all
I have decided that after reading all your motivational posts, I'd like to become an Avon Rep myself for a few reasons; firstly to get to know a few more people in the area, to make some etxra pennies and finally I think lugging books around will help me get a little fitter!!

Just a couple of questions, I have applied online on Sunday, but so far, I haven;t heard anything back - does anyone know what the whole process is of becoming a rep or how I would find out who is the area leader (PM me if you have some ideas and I'll tell you where I live). Secondly, on average, how much time does it take up - I work full time and have some time to spare as no kiddies, but just was trying to get an idea.

    Many thanks :)
  • I am fuming!
My delivery didn't show up as expected yesterday! It normally comes at around 9.15am. At 2pm I phoned my SL who told me to phone the depot. They told me it had gone out and if it didn't turn up by 5pm to phone back. When I did they's obviously all gone home so I phoned Avon. They said they couldn't do anything until the morning! Great!
So I phoned the depot again this morning and was told by a receptionist that the driver had tried to deliver yesterday and I was then lectured about being in to take the delivery between 7am and 6pm when she realised the driver had been unable to find my address. "He's a new driver" was her excuse.
So I now have to wait up to 72hrs for them to deliver. Of course Avon won't add 3 days to the deadline for the account to be paid or reimburse me for the inconvenience of having to contact all my customers and tell them it'll be late!! GRRRRR!
Sorry, rant over, I just wanted to share!
Mother of the Bride diet started 2nd Jan 2013! :T
  • Hey all,

Not sure if I have mentioned before but I do a regular Rep's Offer with every campaign and it is becoming quite successful :T So thought I would share my Offer for Camp17 in case anyone wishes to share:

    CAMPAIGN 17 REP'S SPECIAL OFFER
Only two more brochures left before Christmas so get in early while stocks last. Spend £10 throughout Brochure 17 and choose 2 of the Fragrances on pages 40-41 for just £10 and still qualify for the gorgeous free watch! That’s 3 fab stocking fillers for the price of 1 :o)

    Hope this helps someone. x

Just wanted to say how INCREDIBLY jealous I am of those of you who got clinical eye lift etc as your lotus shield incentive!

I use eye lift and am running out, and I can't remember what the other 2 products you got were but I either use them or wanted to try them!! I got 40+ Anew products x 2 which none of my customers use, and I'm (just) too young for! Grrrrrrrrrrr!!

Still, it could be worse, can't remember where I read it but heard of reps in their early twenties who got anew stuff as their incentive and are clearly not going to need to use it for many years ...

Invoice online today, I have got all the body illusion stuff (hopefully), shorted morgan bags from last time, but no frilly umbrella, luminous pearl gift set, and no 5/6 snuggle boots AGAIN (it will probably be summer again by the time these turn up).

Hope you all had a lovely day in the sun, I had to go down south to our other office so I spent the day in the car, in the office, and then back in the car again! Back to cloudy again today, typical of me to miss the one day of the indian summer we are promised year after year!

I got Reversalist stuff too and am 34

Managed to sell the Illuminating Eye System last campaign though :D

yes, at the front of HT and throughout that demo items are not for re-sale. ;)

Okay, I mustn't have read the small print. And even if I had... :D

Slightly manic afternoon yesterday because I had to sort orders then prep everyone's books (customers and non-customers). Deliveries themselves seemed to take a bit less time than last time.

I've also been told I can definitely do the street I thought someone else was doing. I've missed a campaign there so I've got to get some straight out.

Also think I've just won a set of matte nail varnishes on Connects :j . I'm getting some use out of the site, although I still haven't introduced customers to it yet. But when you need to talk in ;) this is definitely the place to come.
I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for. :( I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.

My customer said she definitely wanted to wait, and was fine about it, but I hope she's not sitting there holding out with cold feet! I stressed that if she saw some elsewhere she could always cancel.

do any of you purchase your samples on ebay instead of ordering through avon?

I have done. A customer wanted a sample of a perfume in my 1st campaign and of course I had none so I ordered some from ebay and got them a couple of days later.
I'd do it again if I didnt have something that a customer wanted to try, rather than waiting weeks for my delivery
