No I don't bag them, just print out 6 little leaflets to one A4 page, and staple one onto the front of each book. Idea helped by MarsdenC, I've altered the original text she provided slightly:Calling all old/new Avon customers!
Avon has celebrated its 50th year in the UK.
Here’s a slightly out of date brochure to give you an idea of Avon products/prices......
I run a loyalty scheme where you get a FREE gift with every 6 orders that you place with me, plus throughout the year I run exclusive offers! There are some lovely Christmas gift sets in the current brochure – delivered direct to your door, what could be easier!
If you’d like to see a current catalogue (with no obligation) please contact me, Laura on:home number /mobile number
email address

(If this is of no interest, please accept my apologies for bothering you and kindly recycle/dispose of the book.)
Then just deliver them to houses that have never ordered from me. I wouldn't suggest using this during your first couple of campaigns - you need to prove to some people that you can be "bothered", so delivering & collecting the brochures back is important. But I find its a great way to recanvass once you have an established customer base - means you aren't irratating people who aren't interested too much, as they can just throw the book away and thats the end of it, they haven't got to leave it out, or have me knocking to collect it.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -
You can only usually get 4 items free per order from Vistaprint, as I've found out when I got carried away before lol.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0

Trouble is, they keep pestering you. My hubby got cards made up from them and although they're nice cards, the always want you to buy more.
I make my own cards using Microsoft Publisher. The templates are all there and it is easy to use.
I use 210gsm card which you can get in Staples. I then just trim them to size with a trimmer. If you don't have a trimmer, you can pick them up quite cheaply.
I get 10 to a page. Means you never run out of business cards either0 -
I got left a catalogue 4 weeks ago no bag was left and I aint leaving it on my door step
Rep called 2-3 days after they were suppose to, rang door bell, then didnt wait around and I heard them ring first time. So now after 2 weeks catalogue is in bin.
Those who deliver this think about the householder, not everyone wants these and especially a soggy mess left on there door step. I get fed up of people posting there catalogues and its made worse when they neither leave a bag, or call on day they said or don't even bother. It makes the owner annoyed and less likely to return your catalogues. I really didn't want to throw this catalogue away in case it costs rep money but I am not prepared to have it hanging around in my house any more. I dont think I will make same mistake again0 -
I find vistaprint ok - yes they send an email everyday with special offers, but I get that much junk email anyway, it doesn't make any difference lol, and sometimes it means I can get the premium business cards for free, which don't have "from vistaprint" on the back of them, and have much better designs too.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0

Which is why all the reps on here collect their brochures on the day they say, and most use resealable bags too, as we know how irratating it is ourselves when brochures haven't been collected from us in the past.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -

Okay i'm back and feeling more positive
Thanks aureol, I dont really have anyone who can help me usually but my mum does take a book into work and I usually get 2 or 3 orders from that. Mum came to see me today and seeing as I'd bought far too many books I decided to give her one, 2 to take to work (she said if she leaves one in the office and one in their break room i might get more orders) plus the 3 ladies that ordered I gave their own book. Doesnt matter if I dont get them back as I have nobody to give them to.
I have also offered double loyalty points just to the people she works with over the next 2 campaigns so fingers crossed it'll be enough to sway them to order again. As usual the completed orders came with some choccies from my xmas tin (thanks asda & morrisons for current cheap prices lol) and a sample. - I need to keep my dozen or so customers happy!
My FB lady has said she'll try to get her order to me this weekend, once I've got one I'll relax more.
Also going to meet up with a friend I havent seen in months next week so shall try and give her a book to browse
Might ask hubby to drop a couple to our neighbours again although I've only had 1 order all together from them so dont think they are really interested.
Phew!
So happy head back on - really gonna try to stop moaning to you all about this stupid SPD - thanks for being supportive xx0 -
So far have £143 worth of orders :j this campaign is going much better than the last. Am going to do another brochure drop tomorrow so hopefully that will yield enough orders to take me above HOV. Only thing is work has changed my hours so instead of finishing at 12:30 I finish at 3pm. By the time I get back home, changed and out again to deliver/ collect it will be dark
. I was told this at the same time that I was told off for changing money in the till with no one around. There was a staff member stood next to me whilst I did it, and I have also seen practically every member of staff do the same thing regardless of whether someone is stood next to supervise. Apparently my boss had been told by someone that I had done this unsupervised which was not true. I think someone at work may not like me too much and has decided to a bit petty and tell tales on me. I feel like I am in primary school all over again :rotfl:. I guess next time there is a long queue of people and I run out of pound coins I will just ring for someone to come over and sort the till out for me (till usually needs more change about once an hour) see how long this lasts before they 'suddenly' decide that they trust me to sort the change out in the till. Sorry if I sound a bit catty and petty but this really got to me for some reason.

Don't forget to go through Quidco for Vistaprint. Even for the free offers, they give you £2.50 which helps with the postage.
I am not too bothered about their daily e-mails with offers, if not interested I press delete. Then when I do want something, check their e-mails as their loyalty offers are quite good. Have had a few free books, pens, etc out of them.0
