OMG Toothsmith, welcome to Avonsville!
Supply rant!
The avon website now has their Supply Issues up again. How on earth do they manage to be running low on so much Xmas stuff? Xmas was hardly an unexpected event. Yes, they might well be promising supply before Xmas, but it really increases our stress & doesn't inspire confidence in Avon.
Have a good day everyone X"Sometimes letting things go is an act of far greater power than defending or hanging on.”0 -
LOL welcome toothsmith
I think we all know that real teeth are the best way forward and unless we win the lottery implants would be a far away dream anyway
But thank you for pointing out the downsides!
Supply stuffs... I hope they get them sorted out soonwould not be good if I end up having hardly any of the stock that people want to order first time round!
DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!
My DFW Diary - blah- mildly funny stuff about my journey0 -
Dentist stuff - this won't get rid of the noises or smells of the dentist, but have you asked about having some benzocaine gel applied before your local anaesthetic injection? I had some when I had a filling five years ago and the dentist just swiped a bit on, turned around to get the anaesthetic, and I wasn't aware of anything else. Didn't feel the injection at all.
Re-canvas - one of my cards worked! Got a text from someone who's on the street that used to be someone else's. It's no wonder it was, either. I'm being cautious on that street and double-checking that people don't think they have to go with me if they already use the other rep. So I asked and she said the other rep only liked big orders, and since hers mustn't have been big enough, she stopped getting books. Oh well, my gain. Not above taking £5 orders - they all add up.
Personal stuff - person who told me how to do my job had stepped over the line, was never meant to do that in the first place. Client has apologised for how bossy they sounded, although I don't think it was the client's fault and this other person seems to have got carried away. Hope things get smoothed out for you, Aureol - the new nursery sounds much nicer. I was scared of "Crinkly Woman" at my playgroup, moved on to nursery and was completely fine because it was a whole new place.
SL stuff - I may not have thrown myself into it (free ads, one poster up, one street of expired brochures, spoken to a few customers), but since I haven't had any interest from potential reps I'm thinking the timing is now all wrong. My C18 finishes on Tuesday. C1 order due in on 7th Dec. So if I don't get any reps signed up with enough time to do C1, they'll be signing up in the short/non-Christmassey/not-big-sales of C2. Plus people get really busy during the C2 time - reps and customers. Even if I sign up a rep with plenty of time to do C1, they've got short campaigns to do after that and it doesn't feel like they could 'hit the ground running'. Going to wait until late Feb, unless it snows like last year, in which case I'll have to leave it a bit longer.I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for.I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.

I agree Joyfull! This is the first time I've had some customers' items out of stock. They sent a substitute for one item though - it was foundation, and they sent a similar one with a blusher brush too (I guess to say sorry?) Do they often send an extra item as an alternative?
What I'm annoyed about though, is that I needed some Anew stuff (have got addicted to it already) and so ordered the free party perfect bag with it. Well, the bag came, but not the contents, which are currently out of stock but should be sent next time. Grrr! Firstly, I'm glad it was just an order for me, and not a customer, as it doesn't look good! Secondly, why don't they just wait and send the whole lot together when they get it, or is that too simple?
I find the "bag" more like a make up purse but that may be because I take the kitchen sink out with me when I go out.
C17 wasn't that brilliant for me but I'm more hopeful about this campaign. Have done a special offer of a free gift for customers who spend £10 over over. I have amassed quite a few items to give away, as have been ordering a few bits every campaign. I'm really hoping to get some of the people who haven't ordered at all, to place an order! Oh, and got my first Facebook customer too, so pleased about that! Persistence is key I guess. I WILL wear them down0 -
Im being a broken record at the moment I know... Still no orders and 11 days left to go
GUTTED! I've hit well over HOV on all my other campaigns. Guess thats what happens when you only have F&F.
I've had one brochure request from FB and am next week meeting up with a girl who ordered through FB last time so I'll give her a brochure...
Been stuck in the house again for most of ths campaign. 9 more weeks of being practically immobile0 -
You won't be charged if you don't place an order, but they will send you a book for 55p and you will get calls and emails from your ASM chasing as to why you didn't place an order.
And then you'll get the £7.50 charge if and when you do place your next order.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
Morning All
Not much on the Avon front. I always sort of take the week off between putting order in and waiting for it to be delivered. Did get a letter today saying congrats on getting into PC club and had my pin badge in it :j lol
Wont be on much today as got to go and get my new glasses from Specsavers and go round the inlaws.
Have a good day all :beer:0 -

I've probably asked this before and forgotten, can't anyone else help you deliver, if you prep the books?0 -

Of course she will, but she wanted to know if she could miss a campaign due to low sales and having to pay out the £7.50 with no discount earnt.0 -

Joining supply rant! Every single customer of mine has something that is out of stock, it really is embarassing  my poor grandad ordered two skin so soft pearl gift sets, bless him, as he always buys his wife rubbish for xmas - and guess what...out of stock. I'm just hoping the gifts I have bought my highest spenders increase their faith in Avon.
On a positive note, I went out in the gale force winds and popped a few flyers through a street of terraced houses...they basically said:
"A message from your Avon representitive"
Would you like a free Avon brochure delivering each month?
Perhaps just a Christmas brochure?
I deliver to your street and would be delighted to pop a copy through your door (then some ordering instructions):D
I don't have enough brochures to canvas ALL my streets but hopefully it gives a few Avon-loving customers a chance to order for Christmas.
Let me know if you would like a template emailing...0
