    Hi

Moving on from the baskets....... I was debating using the one stop selling technique as mentioned on connects. Does anyone already do this?

My main concern is that people may, for example, order from C17 then receive C18 book a week before their C17 order arrives and notice the product they have ordered in C17 is cheaper in C18, and therefore cancel their C17 order. Does that make sense?

I've done this a few times when I am actually organised, and no one has noticed or commented. Although as Lozza once said, they are within their rights to return and order the cheaper item.

However, if they needed it then, they aren't going to bother.

I think someone's dropped a clanger and forgot to order the baskets at their end lol. Like you say, they've only really started being ordered.....

Really want to throw myself into C18 since I will have got rid of the 7.50 sign up fee - but can't get motivated! How are you doing so far?

Hmmm well so far for c.18 I have 0 orders. Not worried though as I didnt get any until at least a week into c.17. Trouble for me is I dont have many customers and have no territory so people dont get interested in a new book until they have had their previous order (and tried out a selection of samples that I always put in)

I need to try to push things along with my FB page over the next couple of campaigns but dont really know how to go about it.
Wanted to do an oline sale as I saw someone else had done but again not sure where to start!

I considered doing one-stop for a while. The main reasons I didn't were: I thought people would be more likely to forget about the brochure after 3 weeks of having one, then I'd still have to go back a second or third time for the brochure (so not exactly one-stop). I also thought that (long-winded example coming...): say you get your C17 brochure when you get your C15 delivery. You hand over your C16 book. You look at the C17 brochure straight away and decide what you want. Then you wait 3 weeks to hand over the order. Then you wait another 3 weeks to get your stuff. I know not everyone would do it like that and look straight away, but my thinking was that with one-stop you've got between 3 and 6 weeks to wait for your stuff. With regular selling you wait 1-3 weeks.

I considered one-stop for streets that are further away, while keeping my more convenient streets on regular selling. At the moment I'm leaving books with people for 2 weeks, so I'm doing one mammoth collection day a couple of days before order deadline, then I've got a week before I go out with deliveries. So it's a little more convenient than going in and out all the time on Avon errands.

I think one-stop would never quite be one-stop for you (unless you're a f+f rep) because there'll always be someone who forgets or who's away and doesn't tell you.
I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for. :( I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.

When I'm putting books through doors of people who haven't ordered yet I'm thinking that the run-up to Christmas campaigns are going to be the best time to get people placing their first order - and then hopefully carry on ordering. Christmas also feels like a time to treat yourself, so we might not just be getting panicked people hunting for gifts.

Oh, I do mine differently. I give out my next book just before their next order is due for delivery, with a note to say I will deliver your order on x date, at x time. then they usually have the book ready for me, and then only have to wait 3 weeks for delivery.

  • Can anyone help me out with this online sale idea? Am I allowed to do it? Im guessing im not really allowed to do it but there are ways around?
The plan in my head at the moment is to order stock in next order which will be delivered on 30th nov, start sale on 1st december for a week (ish) and have a date set to deliver. Hopefully sell it all, if not return.
How do I stand on that? Is that the right way to do it?
    Any advice appreciated

I've seen someone else do it on fb before to get rid of old stock etc so I doubt it would be a problem, I would just go for it and send any stock you dont sell back! you could set up an event through your facebook page/group about it, you could hold an avon party at home with family and friends as well x
