Hi ladies

I was just having a browse on the rep site and noticed this under service news for C17,18 and C1:

Service News 1

WRAP YOUR OWN GIFT SET - BROCHURES 17 AND 18
Due to the high demand for the Wrap Your Own Gift Set, we are unable to deliver the gold basket from this product until next campaign. We have sent all of the other products from the Gift Set. Please pass this information on to customers who ordered this product. Apologies for any inconvenience that this may cause.

Surely this doesn't mean we won't receive the baskets until C2????! That would mean no one receives them in time for Xmas??
I've loads of these on order

Sarah

Grrrrrrrrrrr Avon really do, do my head in!! I've got 3 on order (one's for me and 2 for my lil bro) but thats not the point! How do they expect us to give them to our customers with the vital bit missing?!!!! Makes me cross!

Now looks like I'm gona have to trawl the high street and the internet in order to find a basket that's very similar, even if i cant find the right colour may have to spray it!! why should we be putting ourselves out, AVON should be sorting it out!!!! Next time Order more then what you expect to sell simple!!!!
Rant over!!!

It's ridiculous - I might offer the gift at 6.00 (ie minus my commission) in the hope the customers may be swayed into keeping it.........it's really annoying as I know that these have been ordered specifically for Xmas presents.

They want hanging for this.....................( well ok, maybe a tad extreme but you know...)

Annoying about the Wrap Your Own Gift Set. I have to say that I am getting a very negative impression of Avon lately. I am going to start treating this more as a hobby and less like an actual business, I think. I have a regular job which makes it really difficult to go out and collect books on specific days, and I already had one 'customer' gripe at me about how I didn't pick up the book on the exact day I said I was going to (I had to work late and went the very next day instead). She didn't order anything anyway, so don't know why she even cared! Just one of those people who likes to be crabby, i guess.

I might just ask to be F&F after the new year. I don't have assigned territory because apparently there are no other reps anywhere near me, so I can go anywhere I want.. which would be great if I had the time to do so.

I think a lot of the people in my area are a little "too" swanky.. i try to avoid the bad neighbourhoods, but on the flipside, the houses I have been going to look like they probably just buy Clinique or Estee Lauder! :rotfl: When I say Avon i swear I can see their lips thinning and a sneer appear!

I know what you mean about people being crabby - I couldn't collect one night and the next day a crabby old woman shoved the book through my door with such force I thought my letterbox would never stop rattling :rotfl:

I'm a tad annoyed with Avon at present....wouldn't mind so much if it wasn't Xmas...but I think running out of baskets really takes the buscuit....

Yes, I agree, Saralou. There is zero reason for a huge company such as Avon not to be prepared for Christmas. Frankly I don't see why they ever allow themselves to go out of stock of a product featured in the brochure. Surely they lose so much money that way.

I think you need to think carefully about this - there are Trades Descriptions implications for one thing, and what if the customer wanted a return ?

• The gift set is for a family member (brother) and wouldnt want to return the product anyway so this is why im actually going out and getting a basket for him as i dont think its right that they should only get the products and not the basket, after all they have paided for the whole item!! I dont mind so much about mine that i've ordered as I was going to change how i was going to give the set anyway but hey ho! never know it may turn up!- sorry having quite a bad day x

I know what you mean, people have ordered it for a christmas present, i would be annoyed if i was a customer and found it didnt come with the basket. but lets hope that offering it at £6 works for you and that your customers understands, at the end of the day there is not much we can actually do about it!!
