    Evening ladies and gentlefolk :)
Little bit of information required if you have a moment to spare me?
I'm currently looking at whether or not being an Avon sales rep would be a realistic alternative to my current job, I was thinking of moving towards the sales leader side as I'm used to dealing with teams etc as well as obviously doing some rep-ing myself :)
But if I were to do Avon would I realistically be able to build a decent income doing it full time? (I realise it won't be over night lol - but I would initially do it "on the side" of my main job, then go part time and eventually full time Avon) - however I neither want to waste the local sales leaders time nor mine if the stories on the websites are... over enthusiastic ;)
They quote anywhere up to £100k but more commonly £35k... anyone here actually manage to make £35k? (pm me if you don't want to post it lol I don't need numbers, I just want to know if this is even acchievable!)

I know it must seem a very personal question but I just don't want to put hundreds of hours in to find that this can't be done in my wildest dreams :)

  • Going back a few pages, did anyone have any luck with nectar points? I logged in through nectar website to pay my bill but haven't had any luck so far...

Funny that I was thinking the same thing! I never got round to it, sounded abit confusing for me to do!! I wonder if it actually works? I'm gonna have a look at it tomorrow once I've got more time.

Hope you get some luck with it soon x

I think what is supposed to happen, is you sign into the nectar account. Then look for Avon in their choices of online shoppping, then when you click on Avon, it must bring up the main page, then you log into your account as normal, place your order. And allegedly you get nectar points for placing your order and paying for it ?
  • Have just found it!! it says that there is double points until 19th November so works out 4 points for ever £1 spent! so will be doing that!!

Ahh, I only logged in through nectar to pay the bill, perhaps that's where I went wrong?

Well, making money at Avon can be done - they produced their first Avon millionaire this year - Google it. It was in all the papers. Depends on how much you're prepared to put in - and of course, don't go buying all their products or all your commission will be in your make-up bag LOL.

I just joined Avon a couple of weeks ago after losing my job and unable to find another (employers don't seem to like people over 50 no matter how much experience they have :() and since my make-up bag is already full of Avon products (my next door neighbour used to do it), I don't really need any more so my commission will go in the bank and stay there.

My question is I don't like my upline. I find her quite rude and brusque and not really very helpful.

How I got her is this.

I applied via Avon's website but heard nothing. Got fed up waiting, saw an advert in our local paper and replied to it. This woman phoned me up and she came and saw me. I signed up. She was the one from the ad. However, not long after she phoned me originally, within 10 minutes of her phoning, someone else did who, it would seem, had my details passed to her from head office. The other lady seemed taken aback when I said I already had an appointment.

I feel I've made a mistake in signing up with this woman but don't know how to change to someone else or if it's even possible. I am supposed to get an e-mail from the area manager but I am still waiting. I'm also not happy with the territories I've been given - some of the worst areas (and I mean worst) in town :(

    Any suggestions please?
  • Well Avon is not going well for me at all so far... first i was brought the wrong books, brought old ones by mistake, then couldnt put an order in last campaign as the lady who signed me up forgot to post off my application form and its been sat in her car for a fortnight... then once i finally got territory i go out to canvass it to find not only is it already covered but I'm the third different person to put drop off the same book in two weeks...

Starting to wonder if i should even bother again, ive signed up to Avon once before but quit after getting four different lots of territory that were already covered... looks like some things are not meant to be lol
