hey Melvis
some of the ladies on here would like to see how to sell Avon on FB, can you become friends with them to show them your FB pageplease
Sorry, been full of flu so not been around for a few days, just been reading back
My online sale event is here http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=174003342613422&num_event_invites=0 It's public so you should be able to see it without befriending me on facebook but should you still wish to add me you can find me here .. https://www.facebook.com/zebralennon
The event has had over £200 of sales so far so after tidying up sold out stock it's not got as much on as it did last week when I started.
I had lots of stock for an Avon party that I was due to hold Saturday gone but last week the hostess text me & cancelled so after a suggestion from a friend, I decided to hold an online Avon party.
I basically listed everything I had for sale on the events page, some with photos & some with links to the Avon website (this shows a photo of the product as well as info about the product on your post). I also had lots of odd bits of freebies etc I've collected over the past 18 months since my last Avon party (I don't do territory anymore so don't need free gifts) and I listed all these at low prices.
I then invited every lady on my fb & left the event public so that other people could invite their friends and anyone who happened to stumble across it could also join. Lots of people on my fb live all around the UK so I've posted items to at least 6 people and charged P&P on the heavier items.
I've had 13 sales totalling £224.75 from which I've made about £80 :T so it really has been worth it. Although I've still got quite a bit to credit back to Avon & return, it's nowhere near as much as I would have done if I hadn't done the Facebook event.
If anyone has any questions, please PM me on here or add me on fb and ask me on there

It is absolutely throwing it down here, and now that I'm in the office I see that someone in facilities has decided that it must actually be the middle of summer, and turned the air con to freezing! Mmmmmmm!
Delivery turned up last week, nothing missing (well except OOS stuff), and got a free face cream in the box which I didn't order!
Anniversary gift was gold sequin evening bag (might be useful for Christmas if I had a Christmas party to go to!!!!!) and an arabian glow sleek lines eyeliner in purple. I'm not exactly over the moon, Avon! But a gift is a gift ........ beggars can't be choosers .... etc, etc!0 -
I understand that Clare... must be frustrating.
On the other hand, this is my 4th campaign and I still have no territory. Been told Im not likely to get any until March time so that means although I started with Avon to try to make a proper go of it, I'm only able to sell to family and friends. Which is also frustrating
If only they'd sort out these issues Im sure they'd have happier, more dedicated reps0 -

Yeah I'm going into work - think I'll be alright so long as my boss thinks before he says anything!Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -
Trouble is with territory - it isn't always the asm's fault, the records can be up to date, but new reps decide to go where they like - whether cos they're told that, or because they decide to do that themselves. I had someone deliver to some of my customers - didn't know until I delivered orders, as thankfully, even though this particular lady hardly ever orders, she knew I hadn't finished and told the rep this street was someones.
Poor asm has now had to email everyone to say that if anyone goes where they please - the reps who territory it is can remove the order forms, but leave the books behind, so not to stray from your territory cos you won't get any orders anyway. I know the records are up to date now for our area, its just reps decide to do as they please. Downside is, it means if you have f&f customers on other streets, we can't have our books left out cos obviously the rep might take the order form by accident - though I'm going to write on mine "this customer is a friend, do not remove this order form".Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -
Oh yes I totally agree about the territory. Which is why I havent gone and picked my own territory - which is what my SL told me to do...
Doesnt seem fair to jump on someone elses territory so Im trying to build my customers myself but its hard. The reason I have none is Im not "mapped" apparently hence the 6 month wait for territory
Shame really0 -
morning all
would appreciate some advice if possible, which is the better to offer to customers a free gift with orders over a certain amount or a reduction on thier total bill0
