Just amused me that she felt she had to shout it (capital letters & red pen) - I can see the funny side now0 -

I'm having a few people not leaving there books out and when I go back they are out, I'm just wondering would it be an idea to leave a note through there door? if so does anyone have a template they would be able to send me. as usual I leave things to the last minute, I plan to getting them out when I put my next lot of book out on a different road (sorry for being a pain) x

I am sorry to hear about the serious incident with the child and a bag
but since I have joined up, no one has ever told me not to use a plastic bag because this is what happened. I still use my 8" by 11" bags. I have people keep the bag and leave the book outside without any cover, and it has rained/snowed/sleeted and got ruined, so had to be put in the bin.
I cannot afford to buy more books to cover books being lost, so I am going to continue using the plastic bags. But I will be more aware of the homes with young children, that I deliver too.
even books left out in bags, if left out for too long, when it has rained everyday get ruined, but this is a chance I take. When I was doing Avon full time, I used to walk my territory every day to check for books that people had slung out before the day due.
And only a couple of my customers are kind enough to leave a book out with a bag of their own.
The only other option is for you to tell your customers you will be knocking to collect the books back, and tell them when you will be coming. This way you don't have to give a bag.
I do see what you mean, and of course it is a matter for individual reps to decide on, but I remember it happening, and since the contract with Avon, I personally am not prepared to accept liability. However as I say, each to their own choice!Owed @ LBM, including mtg: £85961.15, As of 1st August 2016: £14481.01 :j

in HT1, there is the vivitar digital camera offer: buy the camera for £22.90 when you spend £7 across HT1. Does anyone know if we can return this camera if it turns out to be cr*p? My MIL wants to start doing ebay and doesn't need anything amazing, so i thought this camera would be good.. but it needs to be able to take close up photos, and that's not something i can tell from reading the camera specs.0

And so my bad week continues....
I keep all of my spreadsheets to do with Avon, on my laptop. I did think the other day that I should take another copy in case anything went wrong, but of course, didn't get round to doing it, and now can't open my Open Office spreadsheets at all. First of all it said that some data was corrupt (or similar), then when I shut the pc down and restarted it, it seemed to repair several files, but now I still can't open it! Aargh! The main thing I'm worried about, is that it has my delivery records on there - people who haven't returned a book, or more importantly, ones that have told me they don't want one!
Yesterday, I started on a road I haven't covered yet. When my SL came round for the induction, she looked at my territory, but wasn't sure about this particular road, and after that, no one was able to access my territory to check, for some reason! After ringing her, she told me to go ahead with the road anyway.
I delivered books to 4 houses yesterday, until someone came out and told me him and his partner do that road. I was very apologetic, explained the situation and said I wouldn't deliver there anymore. I took the rep's name and checked with my SL (who can now access my territory) and she confirmed that, no, the road doesn't belong to me.
However, I'm unsure what to do about the 4 books I delivered. Do I go back and collect them and see if there are any orders? Obviously, I would not keep any orders, as they don't really belong to me, but not sure of the actual house the rep lived in! Or do I just leave it, and let the other rep pick them up. I'm not bothered about losing the books, as they're about to expire anyway.0
