Just wondered if anyone else had flats included in there territory? Have just found out i've got flats- something I wish I didnt have to do!

I have just been assigned more territory, 35 homes, 30 of which are flats. I have no idea how I am going to go about getting in to the building yet. I will be putting half of the books out next week. I had to send a few emails and have a review with my SL to get this little bit extra territory so I am going to have to try and make a go of it.

If you can find out the name of the agency that manages the block of flats, you can go to them directly and ask if there's any way for you to have access to the interior of the building or to the mail boxes. If the agency is a small one (i.e. family owned) then you have a good chance of this. But if it's a large corporate agency they probably won't bother to help you. It's worth finding out. :) Any tenant will know the name of the agency because they will have had to sign up through them to get their flat.

Two of my roads are flats and they have buzzer doors to get in, so unless i befriend someone who lives in them i havent got a chance of getting orders from them.

These flats may have a general button for postmen etc to let themselves in during the day so it might be easier to get in than you think... ;)

  • This is true, it has definately got easier for me too - but £600 wowee! How have you managed that?! How many customers do you have? :T

Thankyou! I had 41 orders this time, only 20 from territory the rest came from f&f and a friend had a small Avon party at the beginning of the campaign where I had 6 customers orders placed.

  • Thanks there was a few books that hadn't been left out but I'll try again later for those so fingers crossed someone will want something!! Had one woman write on the slip in front of her book in capital letters red pen 'I DON'T DO AVON!!!' complete with exclamation marks.

See this as a good thing because she might not have let you know and you could have wasted a book leaving it there every campaign!

I'm having a few people not leaving there books out and when I go back they are out, I'm just wondering would it be an idea to leave a note through there door? if so does anyone have a template they would be able to send me. as usual I leave things to the last minute, I plan to getting them out when I put my next lot of book out on a different road (sorry for being a pain) x
