You need to log in via Nectar before you then click on the Avon logo to then go through to the Avon website, then log in as a Rep. Yesterday was the first time I have done it for Avon, but I have done it for Amazon and the points have been credited once the order has been completed. I am thinking this might be the same for Avon. Alot of my area have been doing this for ages apparantly but I have only just been told about it
Thanks, I will try this later when i pay my balance and see if it works0 -
I have been an Avon rep since 1989 and thought that newer reps might to see my “list system” for using books:
List 1 – customers who have purchased this campaign. Use books for this list first, together with any possible from List 2.
List 2 – customers who have purchased in the past, but not in this campaign. Use books for this list second, together with any possible from List 3.
List 3(a) – customers who have never purchased, ever, but to be re-canvassed. Books now to be re-used after campaign order submitted. Use books for a third time for this half of list 3, odd numbered campaigns.
List 3(b) – As above, even numbered campaigns.
Occasionally a “list 3” person will place an order, meaning that they can be promoted to list 1 or 2.
List 4 – people who have asked me NOT to leave a book EVER – Watch out for these houses coming up for sale/to let. New occupier will probably like to be welcomed to the area and a book dropped off at the same time.
On the subject of plastic bags for books, a word of caution – when I first started Avon, books came with plastic bags, the price of which was included in the price of the brochure. This stopped some time in the 90’s when there was a hazardous incident with a child and a plastic bag. Reps were told to stop using plastic bags of any kind for books. A few years ago, the reps’ contract with Avon changed in that we are no longer representatives of the company – take a look at the top of the order forms and you will see that the customer’s contract is not with Avon but with the rep him/herself. In practice this means that if there is a problem of any kind, be it an issue with a product, or A CHILD SUFFOCATING WITH A PLASTIC BAG, the rep is wholly responsible and not Avon.
You need to ask yourself if you are prepared to take this risk in relation to the value of the books. I manage to cover my whole territory with the list system set out above, even if those who have never bought only get every other brochure.Owed @ LBM, including mtg: £85961.15, As of 1st August 2016: £14481.01 :j

Thanks for this interesting info, just wondering what you do about plastic bags yourself?0 -

That's a bit worrying! How do we get around this?0 -
I don't use plastic bags - I don't believe it is worth the risk. I lose a few books every time they go out, (three times each campaign) but I order enough to cover this. The price of an extra pack of 5 books is worth the peace of mind in my view.Owed @ LBM, including mtg: £85961.15, As of 1st August 2016: £14481.01 :j

So you put them through people's doors as they are, with no bag? The only thing is, with winter approaching, I can imagine losing a hell of a lot of books if people leave them out in the rain etc.
Do you find you lose a lot of books this way?0 -
Im trying to do a newsletter for my C17 that Im starting tonight, I havent a clue where to start, (too old to be technical lol) thats my excuse anyway.
If anyone has one that they could email me for this or any campaign really that i can adapt I would be eternally grateful

Still thinking about the bags issue - I am a worrier!
Wouldn't the 8" by 11" bags be too small for a child to get over their head anyway?0 -
I am sooo fed up, been out collecting books got 27 back out of 35ish and not one order, and it was raining. Feeling really fed up now as I did so well 1st campaign and nothing so far this time round0
