I have flats but they are in houses, so not too bad. One of my reps from my SL days had flats! A whole road of them! She was great, she found a way to access them without having to ring every single doorbell to get access, she found that the doors were left unlocked between 9 and 10 for the postman! So she would go and drop her books then!

Just had an email back from avon following my rant to them. Crawling apology, refund of £2.50 charge and my discount to be applied. Very pleased - hope I dont have to try to call in any more favours for a while.

I'm thinking I'm going to have to and investigate tomorrow to see if they are within houses or what! I'm kinda new to the area as well and plus the estate I live on is new so I have no idea where some of the roads are! (even tho I prob drive past them to get out of the estate each day but dont take notice!!) failing that I will try to catch the postlady we have and ask her!
  • Been reading the posts every day and see some of the new reps are struggling & finding it frustrating.

I only started in late May, first ordered submitted in early June and I have had very much all the same problems that you have all had, I was allocated territory that someone else had, my books put out immediately after posting them, books left in the rain, books never returned etc etc. My baby was 7 months when I started & i found it really frutrating & kept wondering it it was all worth it especially with the amount of effort I put in.

I still have a few struggles & have been asking for more territory since July (ASM coming to see me tomorrow so maybe after nearly 4 months of asking I may get some).

There is a hidden message amongst my ramblings :) ........................

This campaign I posted about how far behind I was etc, well I was so far behind only delivered territory books to one area Friday and the second area Monday, finally collected last book at 8.35pm tonight (order went in at 10pm!!) and I am sooooo pleased as I have over £600 of orders, my highest to date.

I only delivered to customers who had previously ordered as I was so disorganised this month. No canvassing.

So, I just wanted to say to you all who are struggling, it does get easier. I hardly spent any time on it all this campaign but because I am always so reliable about collecting books my customers have now got used to the fact that if i say I am collecting after 5pm on Wednesday - I will be there! The hard work definatly gets easier! Even though I felt like I was disorganised, from a customers point of view all was ok, they know me now and know I will stick to collection & delivery times.

So chin up all and dont panic or stress! Your Babies, children, families & pregnancies first, Avon will be there whenever & it does get easier with time! (Not saying its easy at first).

Hugs to all who feel fed up xx

Wow, that's fantastic! £600! Well done! Thanks for posting this. This campaign hasn't been going well at all for me - have been so disorganised and no orders at all, so far! But you've given me hope and the inspiration to carry on. Still got over a week to go and it ain't over till the fat lady sings and I haven't started singing yet! :D
