Although I did read a post that tickled me. i can't remember which thread, but it was a newish rep who was determined to stay positive and face out any territorial issues. She went canvassing in her new road, with a spring in her step. After she had put a few books through doors someone shouted and she turned around to see a man holding the book 'I won't be needing this' he said , "I'm 86". She said to him " ooh you look very spritely if you don't mind my saying ' He replied ' No, I'm from number 86'

I thought that was quite funny.

Is someone able to send me a copy of their spreadsheet that they use to keep track of orders etc. I have tried to do one but I have no idea what I am doing. If you PM me I'll send you my email address.

I never got round to distributing C16 so I wasted my books. Will definately do C17 as I seem to be spending more than I am making.

This thread has been a source of some great info and I'm sure once I get going it will all be fine!

Have you thought of applying for the ASM job? You mentioned you weren't too happy in your job a while back - you know AVON inside out - I bet the pay isn't too bad.:cool:

The territory has always been a problem and always will be until someone takes it in hand, and does a proper audit and makes sure that ASMs keep it updated.

No, wouldn't want to do ASM job and without a car, would be too difficult for me. You have to keep a lot of stock, books for sign ups and go and see x number of people that want to sign up with them. You might get people from anywhere, within a certain area.

Some ASMs cover a very large area! The pressure on them to sign people up, keep them signed up keep orders coming in, hit their targets, attend meetings... no thanks! I don't want the pressure!

Yes, I can believe people sit raving about the products over there, they want people to buy them and if they are reading.....

got 2 texts from the Rep last night, she started 3 weeks ago, has been given my roads, and went back to my customer and took her order and submitted it. The annoying thing is I am working Wed, when she said she will deliver hers.

I am supposed to be having a rest day today, but think I will need to go round and see my customer and ask her to choose who she wants to order from! It is very annoying as I have been giving her books for about 3 months. Just going to dig out the emails and forward them to the ASM to show it was agreed I could have territory.

Yep, Avon, you need to have a good shake up with your territory problem! A good audit and keep it upto date! Think is one of the reasons Reps leave!

Well the new ASM has given me another 171 houses, which is nice! Very prompt reply from her! The thing is one of the roads I was told wasn't available a year ago when I asked, and I know there is a rep that lives down there! I took her delivery last year.

Around your area all the way to Parkfied there are 7 Representatives 2 of them on territory.

I know how you all feel about territory. I've been told that my whole estate is covered (I only got my actual road) however, talking to one of the mums at the nursery who lives on the estate, I find that she hasnt seen a rep so she has ordered with me. My ASM wants me to do the estate opposite but it has such a bad reputation and people who live on it have told me not to do it as its soo bad.

Was told there was free roads in Hayes (inlaws live there so am that way every weekend) but waiting to get told which roads I can do. Might have to send another email

As for the Avon Connects site.I have been on it a couple of times but dont like the lay out. Much prefer this one lol and its a bit more honest on here

Hey, i was also wondering this. A couple of my family/friends use joop and have asked if there is a similar fragrance - i did get some mens fragrance samples, but i was thinking of just ordering a few full products and trying them and then send back what they dont want?

Had a lovely long chat with the ASM! She lives in Suffolk, but works in London during the week, and on Fridays works from home.

She offered me the ASM job...:rotfl::rotfl: as my ASM has had to leave Avon due to ill health and she said to me I knew what she was talking about when I said I had been a Sales Leader!

Said no, as we don't have a car, and a car is a must. Not sure if Avon would provide a company one, but the answer is still no.

She is going to tell the new rep she can have those 2 roads but she is not to canvass my 4 customers, she will remove them from her, and she is to send back the order she took from my customer when it arrives! :T

So have to go and see my customer today and explain what has happened, and how I am her Rep!

Ask the mum at nursery if she has any friends that might be interested in ordering, and ask if there is a rep actively canvassing her road. There might be other customers out there waiting for you!

Yes, send that email! and shame about the estate opposite you. But it wouldn't be worth the risk. Unless ladies on there hear you are a rep and are prepared to meet you away from the estate to place the orders, collect and pay you.

Fed up with avon again. Called the call center (in India) to beg for 3 items to be added on to my order. Would usually just do an additional but only worth a little bit. No joy - over 4 years of selling their stuff and they can't do me one little favour in return, first time I've ever asked. Cue strongly worded email to avon whilst I'm cross!

Then I check my invoice for my main order which has just come available - under items unavailable I get:
1 Country Rose Doggie Door StopSorry. Not available at present. Please try again when next in Brochure
This should have been delivered 2 campaigns ago and last two invoices have said not to re-order and it would be sent when available.

I hate avon!
