Just put mine on for an hour. I'm full of a cold, so I'm going with the guise of checking that it is working :rotfl:

It is cold, raining and very windy outside.

The log burner is on and the heating in the house is on as well although it hasn't really kicked in too much as the radiators are only just touch warm.

I am either a total wimp or you lot are extremely hardy! Mine has been on for about three weeks.

I do only put it on 7 - 10pm in the evening though. When i get home from work the house feels freezing (it is a 300 year old cottage though / with iceage cellar :D).

I think part of my problem is the office i work in is so warm (to warm IMO) so when I get back to a 'normal temp' it always feels cold.

does anyone else have the work / home problem?

Its been a lovely sunny day here and the heating is still off. If it weren't for this thread it would never have crossed my mind that it was still off. The last two years its been November before it went on so a few weeks yet.

    I know the problem.

DW used to teach in a school where her classroom was always boiling. Whenever it got vaguely cold at home she would want to put the heating on.

In September she started in a school where I reckon the Head reads this forum and so she says she always has to wrap up during the day. Interestingly this year she isn't hassling me to put the heating on at all so far.
