  • Ive had mine on and off for ages :o but I am in the north east of scotland on the coast and the wind coming off the sea can make it seem a lot colder than it is. Ive got myself one of those fleece adult babygros:o , its great:money: mind you it is a bit of a hassle to get off in middle of night if you have to go to bathroom lol

We're trying really hard not too, although yesterday I put a small electric fan heater on for an hour to take the chill off.
  • Still holding out really well, no heat on what so ever :D

Been lovely day today so got two lots of washing dry outside too :j

Afraid to say I had to put mine on yesterday (not my choice)

OH has been huffing and puffing about it being cold for the last week but was slightly silenced by the fact that npower put our monthly payment up from £35 to £69:eek:

Anyways it was SDs weekend with us, OH was at work. She comes out and tells me that her radiator isn't working, says she has turned it right up and its still cold. I says well that 'cos heating isn't on. WELL TURN IT ON she says. I did as
    1) no good telling her to put an extra jumper on (she does not bring extra clothes with her, any extra we buy go straight home and never return
    2) she would have text her mum who would have then rung me and shrieked down the phone at me. I decided that heat versus stress, heat won. :D

    So heating went on

It's going off again though ;)

We-e-e-lllll finally decided to double check the temperature on our room indicator as we were both freezing and indicator still showed 'ideal' (18-21degrees) .

Put c/h on and set thermostat to 18degrees. Lo and Behold! - the darn c/h kicked in! Was only on for a few minutes, but we felt the benefit of it almost immediately :j . Needless to say, it only came on for a few minutes this morning (around 7.00am) and didn't come back on again all the time it could have done (until 9.00am). Tonight, I noticed that again it only kicked in for a few minutes (7.00pm) and has not shown its little red light since. It's due to go off at 11.00pm and still no signs of kicking in.

That's the last time I trust a freebie room temperature indicator - bloody Eon! I now intend to go out and buy a 'proper' room thermometer.

Also put the autumn weight duvet on the bed last night - what a difference! Found myself putting my arms outside of it last night instead of covering all but my nose  .
  • Not on here yet and I don't intend to.We're managing pretty well realy with our fleecy throws on an evening.Through the day though I'm usually too busy to notice so it's ok.

I'm not sure if its the milder weather at the mo but I think my family are all becoming worringly hardy to the cold. Had to pop the heating on for half an hour today, as we were putting a sealent into the system, and we were all sweltering and desparate to turn it off again. Fingers crossed. that means we'll make it to the 1st of November with ease.

  • I had to put mine on this week as my toddler is poorly with his asthma. I don't have it on in the day but my DH has a habit of re- setting the timer!!! it drives me mad..

I switched to e-on and they recomended month payments of £60:eek: . I am fed up of being called tight by DH when I tell him to PAJO (put a jumper on). Yet he will be the one having kittens when the bills come in.

Men !! ( sorry men just needed a vent )
