How much is your dehumidifier costing to run? I've recently got a new one and it's on most of the time but I'm a bit worried about cost.

I didn't have the heating on yesterday and it's still off today so hopefully a few NHDs in a row!

I don't know to be honest with you. I was dreading a huge bill, but i'm only about £9 in 'debit', so it doesn't seem to have gone up much from previous months as my payments haven't changed recently. My gas is in credit by over £40 so will easily cancel the electric out :)

That's running a tumble dryer too (although only once or twice a week). I know a lot of people don't approve of them, but I live in a flat with no outside space so it's either that or have damp washing hanging around which I don't like.

I haven't had my heating on still :) I have a friend staying with me for a few days next week, so I might pop it on then. I'm generally warm, it's my hands and feet that suffer (I have bad circulation...it just seems to stop at my ankles and wrists!)

I switched ours off today as it's so warm - it's nearly 12c outside.

So lovely not worrying about the heating bill compared to last year. We now have our open fireplace up and running and burning free wood so the heating hasnt been on and if we're cold we light a fire.

No heat and windows open in my house - heehee. As soon as I do anything physical I'm taking my jumper off (9 degrees first thing!). Hope the rest of the winter is so mild. Its such a relief after the past couple of harsh winters we've had.

    Hi

Off at the mo. It's sunny in London today. Also just received my M&S thermal vests. They're lovely and warm. Will come in handy when it gets colder.:)

I was at Walthamstow market yesterday and they had M&S thermals at two for a fiver. Bargainacious. I lashed out and bought another brand for the same price because I wanted long-sleeved ones. If you're in London it could be worth the tube or bus-fare to go. Not now for thermal vests, of course, but perhaps some other interesting things. They had smart men's wool and cashmere overcoats for forty quid. Forty quid!

No heating on here either. I've got every single window wide open to get the place well-aired. Thermometer/thermostat says 15 degrees. Lovely!

That's the point.:D I make lots of typos, some because of a neurological condition. Some are funny. If you cannot laugh at yourself the world must feel even colder. :)

My hubby the same I use to ask him how to spell certain words, but since brain injury he asks me, like you say its neurological, also he use to be brilliant at maths, now he cant take 40p from a pound and no what change he should have, his physio team told me that he must not deal with money, for sure someone out there will rip him off......

On to the weather its been so mild today, but all change this next day into - 3 overnights and daytime temps at 3, so bring on winter, huddle up in the warm ,I cant wait for a cold spell, wouldnt be winter without it........

I don't have the heating on during the day because everybody is out till the afternoon.
But today I was off, and by 10 am I was freezing! I didn't want to give in.. so I got myself active and cleaned my house! Boy was I warm enough while working! hahaha.. I then sat down for a wee bit with a hot water bottle in my lap until it was time for the school run. I put the woodburner on when we got home around 3 and it's been burning since. That's okay though. I like it warm when the family is home. I'm burning free wood as well so that's good. :-)
