I must be ill. I don't feel it but I can't get any heat. It was 21C in the kitchen at suppertime, what with the cooker being on, and my hands, nose and feet were still frozen and I had goosebumps on my arms. The heating has been on all day and I was on the sofa under a duvet and was still cold. I'm actually shivering just now.
Sounds like you are poorly love... Hope you've a load of cold and flu stuff in.

I must be very naughty but we have had our heating on last couple of weeks. It comes on at 19c at 4pm and goes off at 11pm. I have tried cutting down but the house gets ever so cold and I am so scared of burst pipes. I am wearing extra layers too. I don't have it on at all during night or day. Am I doing wrong. I am scared of the bill but also scared of cold. We have had bad condensation in our bedroom too so need a bit of heat to help it.:j cross stitch forever, housework whenever :j0

We have had snow and sleet all day current outside temperature 1.8 its been very very cold here today with no sunshine what so ever to add to the heating. So we have had to have the heating on for longer than the 3 hours we've been doing. Hope it soon turns mild again. Why pay full price when you may get it YS0

Do you know what the temperature is inside? I doubt your pipes are likely to freeze between 11pm and 4pm unless it's well below freezing outside. Maybe for peace of mind you can set the thermostat at 5 degrees and just leave it on overnight and see how you get on?
It's been very chilly today, the thermostat was reading 12 degrees when I got up and it's the same now. I've been sorely tempted to put the heating on but I just can't afford the bill. I'm looking forward to hopping into bed later with my hot-water bottle. Still got my thermal undies and the electric blanket up my sleeve for when it gets even colder so it could be worse.0 -

I was so warm and toasty in my bed last night that I didn't want to get up. I really don't feel ill, just cold.:o It's this blasted wind. It seems to be going right under the house through the vents.0 -
I was going to leave the heat lamp on for the dogs oernight, but when I went in they were both far aay from it and so I unplugged it. This mornig their ears were warm and they were ok, but they were curled up in balls so not overly warm, so ok for now still.
It was reasonably hard to get up this mornig and what I'm earing today suggests I grabbed what was nearest, lol. I have the wood burner on again today, but I think I could have gone the morning without0 -

Loft insulation installed yesterday - 8 rolls for space 46 sq m. Last night my bedroom was 9 degrees so not much warmer, maybe 1 degree. And the living room temp was not much higher - 15 degrees after 2 hours of heating on (only heating up to 3 hours daily in upstairs flat. The bathroom feels a bit warmer but that is the middle bit, the building has a cold gable end. I was hoping for a big difference so am feeling disappionted.0
