Heating still off. It was 15 degrees in London this afternoon, sunshine flooding into the flat, heated it up to 20 degrees - nice.
Now 19 inside and it's half 11 at night.
Tomorrow - more sun and 14 degrees forecast.
Hopefull that the heating can remain off until 1 Dec the way things are at the moment!:j0 -

Had to put the woodburner on yesterday, we were all sitting around and it was about 13 deg, so put the stove on for a few hours, lovely and warm.Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0

This morning I awoke with a sore face and back...I have a neurological condition. Sometimes its worse in the winter, but its relatively ok, and through the night I was very warm, and our sitting room retained heat from the woodburner quite well over night so its certainly comfortable in there. But, if I'm not able to move around much I've got an electric blanket for the sofa so I can be warm while immobile.0

Sun finally out after very foggy morning. Washing on line, heating off and feely very warm after a 30 min run.0

Have managed to keep the heating off all week, bar a tiny 10 minute blast to get some towels drying. Adopted the candle technique, which seems to be working well at the moment!
Still fairly mild for these parts at this time of year I think though, keep wondering if the temps are going to massively drop soon.February Grocery Challenge - £100.87/£180February Don't Throw Food Away Challenge - £0.60/£1.500 -

It was an absolute pea souper of fogginess today and didn't brighten up at all until after lunchtime. Current outside temperature is six degrees!Cat, Dogs and the Horses are our fag and beer money:beer:

I`ve just lit the tealights, feels warmer already
Has anyone noticed the difference in the tealights from last year and this years stock?
Last years were slightly raised in the centre and sloped off towards the edge, this years are dipped in the middle meaning that there is a ring of wax left around the outside of the foil container when they go out, last years stock also burn for much longer.
Its 18 degrees inside and 7 outside atm, feels slightly colder than the gizmos reading so it will probably dip quite a bit later.
I haven`t noticed the boiler switching on and i don`t intend to knock the stat up a notch tonight

I've noticed this too. Bought mine from Tesco and all of them have left a ring around the top edge of the foil!0 -
My father warned me today temps are due to drop after Tuesday, so I'll try and catch a local weather report tomorrow. I've got lots of inside jobs for next week to keep me very busy, I'm going to clean then polish the wooden flors upstairs.0
