Off here and no thought of it being on. I've had the patio doors open all day. We are all sitting in t-shirts right now.

Well, obviously we aren't just wearing t-shirts;).

It really is very mild here, though.

LOL's, I typed my reply up without jeans in at first but quickly added it. Otherwise what a mental picture that would have made:rotfl:

My heating has been off and on because it's been cold here. I try to limit it to 10 or 15 miutes at a time. Last year I left it on overnight (when it was REALLY cold ) at a low temperature in case of burst pipes.

    Mines definately OFF OFF OFF!

Its not cold yet, is it?

and yes cavity wall and extra loft insulation really can make a difference.

Mine is off as well. Funny you should mention the loft insulation and cavity wall insulation, I have just had those done about 8 weeks ago and am definitely noticing a difference, last year I wanted to last until November but dont' think I did manage it.

Long may it last, don't want to give the energy companies any more than I have to !!!:rotfl:

I just caved in and pushed it all in the tumble dryer, it's been raining non stop for a week. There is only so much I can take.

I usually only part dry it and finish it off on the maiden, but that started to back up at the weekend, so I had to get it back on track.

Not very ms but I just can't afford to get behind with it all.

thanks everyone - yea i feel guilty bout the kitty's! - i have a blind cat and she's fine as she seems to find her way on top of the v+ box every night for a heat! it's ma other wee one i feel for! i've sat a sleeping bag on the sofa for them to sleep on and it seems to be comfy for them

i took a note of my metre readings last week and i asked edf the rates i am paying at the moment and when they put them up in november so i should be able to work out what i use. i would do online readings every month so that they're acurate as well but apparently when you do this it generates a bill, then they might automatically put my payments up and i'd have to phone them etc etc!

thanks for the tips for the reflective strips - will defo be getting these and at the moment i don't even have curtains up in the living room :o i have vertical blinds and a daft kinda voil pelmet thing. will dig out a pair of curtains 2morrow.

i'm ok with paying the £80 per month but i would definately grudge any more

This is late for us not to have the heating on, we do have cavity wall, the loft is missing some insulation after a bathroom ceiling collapse
