It has to be really adverse for me to close my bedroom window...I feel much better with fresh air even if its howling.
Last night was really howling here...excellent halloween weather, but this morning is bright and still and no need at all for the woodburner to be lit this morning.0 -

Mine is off but not due to any self restraint on my part! Just still warm in London so window open and fan been on! Long may it continue! Having said that as I am Disabled once it does get cold it is on all day so not saving much in the long term0

Mine is off at the moment, and I'm in the strange position of having no children during the day (the youngest has started school) and it seems selfish to have the heating on just for me! I am hoping to keep it off for antoher week.0

I put the heating on when the temperature is cold. End of. Don't care what month it is.
But then I spent last Christmas in an intensive care unit with pneumonia in both lungs quite close to death. Its taken me 10 months so far to recover and there is a long way to go yet.
If it is cold, please don't compromise your health because of a few quid. Shrouds don't have pockets.0 -
Off here. Quite a nice day sunny and windy, was forecast for rain but it hasn't come to much. I managed to finally get the duvet cover and bottom sheet out on whirly gig this morning. Hubby made me lovely chicken and rice soup with crusty bread for my dinner tonight and it was gorgeous. Temp inside is 18 outside 12.I love this place :j:T:j0
