OFF here. 12 outside just now,I managed to get 2 loads of washing out today for about an hour then the rain came on for about 20 mins then the sun came out, wasnt running in and out so hung them over bannister, airer etc. 18 inside just now and feels ok, my 2 cats are curled up on top of hubby who's dozed off. I won't be long out my bed tonight I'm so tired taking my 2 hot water bottles, lovely and cosy.I love this place :j:T:j0

Our heating is off here in Kent, actually as I type this I have the french doors open and also the front room windows. We only have a top sheet on the bed at the moment, the duvet is at the bottom of the bed just waiting to be unfolded when it gets cold.
Although not sure if I just think it's warm as I am running a temperature.. Although DH is still in shorts and a tshirt.Mortgage Free as of 20.9.17Declutter challenge 2023, 2024 🏅 🏅⭐️⭐️

Ours is still off, but we do have a fleece on the bed and I put up the thermal curtain liners that got delivered today, so we are toasty without it so far, though Saturday was a close call.0

DH has just taken himself off to bed because he says he's cold. He did change into shorts when he got home from work though! The thermometer is say it's 19.7 in here, but I must admit it doesn't feel like it's nearly 20c! I'm not cold though.0

Still warm here on the South Coast, we still keep our windows open at night as it's still fairly warm. Usually the heating is on by now but the cold weather is a little late this year!0

I`ve had the gas fire on for 15 minutes
Not because its cold mind but because i`m taking advantage of having no doglets here atm, DH has taken them fishing overnight so i`m having a good clean and i`ve moved all the furniture and have cleaned the laminate flooring.
It just wasn`t drying at all so after almost an hour i got fed up and put it on. Success! the floor is dry and most of the furniture is back in place, just waiting for one more patch to dry and then job done.
I must say that it felt stifling as i`m just not used to it now. I`m going to try some of the furniture in a different position and then decide whether or not to leave it or put it back as it was. Its not looked as clean as this for ages - its positively gleaming now. Worth the 15 mins of heat to get it done though.
I shall have the dog towels at the ready for when DH returns tomorrow night just in case there are any mucky paws.
Good news too, i`m having the kitchen radiator put back on at the end of this week and also the one in the back bedroom. They will be new rads :j I`ve had none on for the last 4 years. The one in the front bedroom is coming off so that we can decorate and put new skirtings on at the same time. I need to buy the expanded poystyrene on a roll to put on the wall before the lining paper and then i shall put a blown vinyl on top of that so will be messing about with it for a good while waiting for the layers to dry. We did this in the last house and the difference that it makes is amazing. Hope to get it all done and dusted before Christmas. It takes so long to do things like this as we have hardly any free time but i`m on a mission. I`ll start to clear the room tomorrow and then we can work out how to dismantle the horrible built in wardrobes in there.

On! Quite a chilly evening so have changed setting from hot water only, to hot water and heating. Set on a timer to come on for an hour a.m. - my shower covered, and an hour p.m. - girls bath covered.0

Off, now although I had the fire on earlier as it was so damp out, been raining all day. It's warm in here now, odd for the time of year.
I think the weather has gone to a whole new level of messed up!0 -
Still no heating at all used here - although I can tell that the OH is itching to light the woodburner, it just hasn't been cold enough yet.....won't be long though, I think!December GC: £3500
