I haven't had the central heating on here yet but have had a couple of open fires.... Last night the house was still so warm from those fires that I had to open windows
And it was almost all free woodI have a feeling my gas usage this winter is going to be a fraction of what it has been the last few years... Especially as I have a new boiler and the old one was apparently only about 50% efficient

Off........ and if you've got a fire on, that counts as heating :doh:Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0

Still in T shirts in our house - very well insulated! No heating for a while here:)What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0

Still off here
The inside temp is 18 degrees and outside is 17, very windy again with short sharp downpours.
It definitely feels much colder outdoors than the reading suggests but that will be down to the wind. My washing is blowing on the line like crazy and i`ve put extra pegs on to help keep it there
If only the rain would keep off a bit then it should dry, i`ve got 4 dog bed covers waiting to go out too so i`m crossing my fingers - hopefully not in vain.
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon0 -
No heating on here yet, but I have loads of apples and pears to process so I've taken to sitting my little slow cooker on the coffee table next to me in the evenings and working my way through them. Added benefit is that if I add cinnamon or ginger it also makes the room smell lovely!0

Still off here but only just! Temperatures outside are about 4 at night and 9-12 during the day but the wind is making it feel colder. Inside does feel warm when I come in so hopefully I can get by until November before I have to turn it on. At least I've had the first lot of oil delivered so one more to top up in December and I should have enough for the winter.Credit card debt - NIL
