I hope you all have some warmer days in the UK too!
My thermometer is saying it's just under 19c at the moment. It's a lovely sunny day though, and I went for an hour and a half walk earlier this morning from 9.30am and I was walking in just my t-shirt. The breeze was very welcome (and not cold). Weather like this I can cope with - too cold or too hot I can't.0 -
Hi everyone,
2 questions:
- I put my meter readings in online every month. Do you think it would be more beneficial to be putting them weekly? Either now or when my heating does eventually go on .
- I don't have any thermometers, does anyone know where to buy these. I have seen a pack of 2 on eB*y for £3.50.
Thank you kindly in advance0 -
Still off here too, although there has been times when I have been tempted to switch it on as it gets really chilly here in the evenings.
We have a key meter for the electric and a quantum meter for the gas, at the mo I am putting £20 per week on the electric meter (which will rise by an extra £5-£10 per week when the heating is being used plus the cost of putting Gas on the meter so I think that will be another £25 per week that is if the usage is the same as last yr)... so in total I will need to pay at least £50 per week for gas/electric... I really cannot afford it so its staying off till we really need to have it on.October grocery Challenge

Well it's flipping chilly here at the moment. I have just made a cup of tea with the intention of warming me up. If it drops any more I may put it on for an hour or so this evening! Thermometer is saying 15 degrees (outside)Cat, Dogs and the Horses are our fag and beer money

Freezing here at night now in the north. Was going to put the heating on last night until my hubby reminded me that I had said there was no way the heating is going on until October. Had a bath late last night and realised that's where I'm going wrong, always feel hot after a bath. So tonight as soon as I've had dinner I'll have a bath, wrap myself in a fleece and settle down warm and toasty in front of the tv.0
