well I might have been ok earlier but am now cold, OH isnt so am using my slanket dont think I will be holding out much longer at this rate
  • My heating is off, can't actually put it on until I get my boiler fixed, so it won't go on for ages! But I have just made my bed and put on an extra blanket, and spend most of my time indoors with my fluffy warm dressing gown on, I have the windows open all day so it has got a bit nippy but I persevere :D

No heating til October is my rule, how far away is October???
KEEP CALM AND keep taking the tablets :cool2:
  • Its actually quite chilly here tonight and I have been feeling a bit under the weather today so we lit the fire. Using up some free wood and some awful cheap coal that we bought last year so no great cost involved.

I am a bit skeptical about these high temperatures - especially up North - but we will see. I would love to manage without the heating for another few more weeks so I can preserve my precious oil supplies!
  • Heating off at the moment - for some reason i don't really feel the cold - must be my age but i do prefer to put on a cardigan and in the extreem cold weather i love to sit with a blanket over my legs - it so cosy

  • Off Off Off sun is shining and its warming up, washing is hanging out long may it continue :D
I will lose 2 stone by this summer!!!!!!
  • Off - and will stay off as long as possible - Ideally till the begining of November! ;)

Still got all the windows open...s'lovely here :)
I'm not far from Birmingham and yes, it WAS lovely yesterday. Today it's raining, blowing a gale and is bl**dy cold! Trying desperately to believe in the good weather towards the end of the week, but keep remembering their "barbecue summer" forecast! My CH remains off, but the fire will be on for an hour tonight methinks.
    Normal people worry me.

Just done my meter readings (25th of each month) no heating on at present but cant hold out for much longer. Gas only used for cooking and hot water

    Gas 285Kwh

Its been quiet warm where I am during day coolish at night
  • Not yet but it is really cold for the past few days, i've just switched to british gas monthy variable dd so i'm trying to stay away from heating for as long as possible, money is so tight right now. running up and down the stairs and star jumps tend to keep you warm though! and its free! also taking the dog for a walk gets us warmed up and we "feel the benefit" when we're back indoors! :)

I put the CH on for an hour one evening during the week because we all felt a bit chilly. We live in an old terrace house and sometimes it's colder inside than out, almost as if we need the heating on to warm the walls up.
