Still off however I have wobbled on a few occasions. I know that it is not a competition however for the sake of my bills I am keen to keep the heating off for as long as is sensible.

Off here too, its 19 degrees inside and out which is lovely, i`m going to take advantage of the nice weather forecast and wash all the remaining heavy things that need doing, i have lots of doggie stuff that needs a hot sunny day to dry properly so i`m keeping my fingers crossed that the forecast doesn`t change.

We have a small window and fan which doesn't seem enough, I also got rid of bath(really stoopid move, miss it!) just have shower which may be the cause never had such bad condensation before.

We don`t even have a fan in the bathroom - just a window which is on the front of the house so i don`t like to leave it open too much.

We never used to have a mould problem when using the bath but we now mostly try to shower as it saves water and is cheaper, now we have mould in the corners and along one edge of the ceiling :( I`ve scrubbed it, bleached it and painted it but like yours it still keeps on coming back. I`ve managed to find a tin of anti mould paint reduced so when it next gets scrubbed i`m going to paint with this and then paint over it with the normal paint which matches the rest of the bathroom ceiling. Fingers crossed that this does the trick.

I`m hoping that i can get this done soon otherwise it will be next summer before i get chance to try it

  • Still off, was going to put the winter duvet on as it had got quite chilly in the past couple of weeks but its lovely today and forecast to get warmer this week, so I will hold of a while. Am hoping to keep heating off until the clocks go back, fingers crossed :-)

Off here although it was on at low for 2 days when my sis stayed last week. Pleased to see that we're getting a warmer spell so that will help too.

It's very much off for now and for the rest of the week. Next week it is due to get more windy with gales and rain coming in apparently, but we shall see! I am trying to hold off as long as we can because now the gas and electricity prices have gone up, these little 'hold outs' mean the difference between a massive bill and a medium (can just about cope with that) bill!

I've had my winter duvet on for a couple of weeks. I almost put the under sheet duvet on today when I was changing the bedding, but decided to leave it for a week or so. It's 20c inside at the moment, so nice and cosy.

I had two duvets through august, and have one underneath me too now, but its been SO much warmer nights since friday. I've kicked the duvets on top off and just had the top sheet, or had legs sticking out from underneath the duvet and sheet.

It makes making the bed a pain in the morning.

We bought a wool duvet last May so don't need to swap over from a summer to winter one.
  • We have not had to put the heating on yet in our 172 year old cottage in Wiltshire. It also stays lovely and cool on the hottest summer days. I hope our new house will be as good as our current place is up for sale.

It's overcast today, but not cold. When the winter winds start blowing off the sea straight through our front door then we'll definitely need the heating on. Our front door will warp so we can't close it properly.

I've just been to have my ears syringed out - it's amazing what I can hear now. I won't have to tell the children off for mumbling :rotfl:Unless they really do mumble . . . :D
