mine is on-ish, for an hour in the morning (15 mins before alarm) BUT on the lowest setting, which doesn't kick in unless it's below 15 degrees. So technically it's on, but it hasn't fired up for 2 weeks. The temp yesterday evening inside was 20 degrees! - don't think it reached that all summer!:AA/give up smoking (done)0

Much warmer outside than in here. My animals are all sunbathing in various spots: wonderful to see. I wish we got a little more of it in the house (drat east facing windows).
In fact, I might leave the shutters and curtains open tonight, to make the most of the early morning sun in the rooms, before I'm back in the house from animal breakfasts and bed making.0 -
Mine went back off yesterday! We spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. I don't and I'm happy! Mortgage Free Wannabe :dance:Overpayments Made: £5400 - Interest Saved: £11,550 - Months Saved: 240

I love my electric blanket
DH thought that i was crackers when i bought it but soon changed his mind, i wouldn`t be without it - put it on 5 mins before going to bed, slowly bake once in and remember to turn it off before nodding off. Well thats what i do anyway :rotfl:
I seem to fall asleep much faster as my body temp rises quicker and i have a great nights sleep, its already been put on the bed ready for the cold weather.
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon0 -
OFF its warm here.0

Cor why would anyone need the heating on yet? My house is around 18 degrees most days at the moment and I am far too hot at night, I keep having to kick the duvet off. Long may it continue to make up for all the sub-zero weather last winter!0

I have to agree. Some people must be very cold-blooded. I don't mean those with health problems and young children who need the heat on but even at 3am my home is still over 18C.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.
I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

Its on minimal setting. Was chilly first thing, but then got really sunny. I dislike being cold, so suits me perfectly.0

I don't think my sitting room hit 18 all summer.:o
I think what we need to remember is that people do have different situations. I do feel many people are overusing their heating (and wonder if in healthy people it might be associated with other lifestyle issues). But if my sitting room were 18 degrees I'd be warm too, as its not I've spent much of the day toddling about the garden and the sunnier side of the house where its warmer. This evening I still won't have heating on but I'll be wrapped in a rug on the sofa.0 -
OFF here, has been a mixed day today sunny, very windy and rain at times which was very light. Took dogs for a lovely walk through the woods and washed cats beds, blankets, towels etc got it all dried
came home and had stew, new tatties, pastry, and savoy cabbage for dinner. I'm going to buy anti-mould paint as mentioned by Sunnyday will have to re-bleach it all and paint over...again. I always have window open when in the shower even when it's cold with no heating on
I love this place :j:T:j0
