Glad it's not only me!. Sunday afternoon husband declared he could stand it no longer. I pointed out it's only August and what will we do in winter? but he was adamant that the heating was going on. Toughed it yesterday evening but it was bitter during the night.0

Must confess to ours on today because little one is poorly and can't seem to get or stay warm - and once he's better it going back off!
But am taking advantage of drying/airing sleeping bags as weather too foul for putting them outside today,
MoamAlthough no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

My heating has been on a few times over the last two or three days! The only problem is that it seems to warm up too quickly then everyone moans about the heat! I also can't believe how dark it is without the sun - really makes it feel and look like winter. Roll on Christmas, I say!KNIT YOUR SQUARE TOTALS:

Ours went on yesterday afternoon. We'd had the sofa and carpets cleaned, so all the windows were opened for drying and airing purposes. Result - one freezing house come 7pm:mad: Windows shut, heating on.Comping, Clicking & Saving for Change0

I've just turned on the radiator in the lounge and the one on the landing. Have been resisting for the last few days, but we are both off work sick and even the cat keeps attempting to burrow down the bed under the duvet (which must be a sure sign that its cold because he has a thick fur coat!!
).
If it warms up again, I will happily turn it off, but just in the last 20 minutes it is noticeably warmer!

We have the water on in the evening but to heat the water you need the heating on!!!! so we warm up towels and dry stuff on the radiators but we have been very layered up and havent had it on properly yet.Ive doubled checked my things too - Ive got a fleece blanket for Bens bed to go over the top , have a spare single duvet for under his bottom sheet, have a spare double duvet for under our bottom sheet, have bed covers/throw for our bed , or the chairs (seeing as they are leather) to keep them warm and so we dont get a shock at 6am! have fleece blankets ready for on chairs to snuggle in. Have seen hot water bottles in the local pharmacy for £2 so will get some of them , unless i can figure out how to thread this new bloody sewing machine in which case ill make rice bags for us all (including the dog) plus he has jackets and jumpers to keep him snug too. Have also already got a plan of radiators to be switched off - this includes the hallway, our bedroom and the bathroom one becuase there is currently a 3 seater settee in fornt of my radiator which we cant move as it doesnt fit anywhere else. The hallway isnt used and the bathroom may be used to dry clothes in becasue its small adn it gets pretty warm in there but its not going on if i can help it. Also have been saving to get the plastic sheeting for the windows becasue im in a crappy council flat which isnt double glazedTime to find me again0
