Is your heating ON or OFF?

  • it's off here again after yesterday's kitti-episode. We had the heating on yesterday for three hours in the end, which then kept the house nice and warm for the rest of the evening. Good to know that the house keeps the heat in well and when it gets really cold, we can just flick the heating on for couple of hours and then remain warm for the rest of the day.

Cats acted no different when the heating was on, so I guess they weren't that bothered!! They certainly didn't give me any more bed space just because the heating was on!!

Been milder here the last few days, but wet, very, very wet so have had the heating on for a while.

Temps for the weekend looking a bit nippy though!

Because of the warmer weather we switched off the boiler altogether, now totally without heating, not even for the early morning, and we are fine. The kids are also ok with it, it's so mild!

We aren't even using the woodstove, so the only problem is to dry clothes. Yesterday I managed to dry a full machine of towels outdoors, but today it is raining so today's clothes wash (mainly t-shirts and underwear) might take a bit longer to dry indoors (in the laundry room, which is really quite cold!).
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).
  • Still no heating here. Cavity Wall Insulation is blooming brill.

Been getting closer to putting it on but then stick a jumper on and start pottering and it seems ok again. DS not complaining yet so all is good

  • Beautiful morning here and no need for any heating here either.
I even had to discard my throw whilst sitting watching TV last night as it got too hot.
Lets just hope it stays like this a bit longer.

Hi Caterina, this is a big problem for us too. If I put my clothes on the airer in the lobby it can take several days for them to feel dry, so they're just not feeling fresh at the moment.
However, heating is still off as it's really quite mild here. We have had a couple of fires in the evenings though. Oh, and of course the magic of the electric blanket :)
