Sunnyday. Great news about your OH's job. Imagine both of you will be sleeping more soundly tonight. Well done. :T0

Still off. Woke from my siesta at 5pm to feel a bit chilly but as I was going out for the evening I had a shower instead of turning the heating on. Will hang out for as long as poss, now SE have put their prices up by 9%+. I'd swap suppliers but they're all going to follow suit very soon so imho it's not going to be worth the hassle.0

It's wet but very mild here today.
It was so mild last night we did'nt even need our throws to snuggle under.
Just as well it is since the pilot light on our boiler keeps going out and we'll have to get the man out again.
I say again as it's only just been serviced it was fine before that,or maybe that's just coincidence and somethings knackered inside the boiler.
Either way I'm glad I pay a service contract.
Why is it that boilers (mine anyway, never fails) only develop faults in November the time when you may start to need them .0 -
Hi peeps
Now the good news - DH went for an interview today and he got the job! :j:j:j:D:D:D It doesn`t start for a couple of weeks and he forgot to ask whether its a month in hand or a week in hand for payment but i`m over the moon, i feel so relieved. All in all we should only really struggle for a month so the light is there shining bright at the end of the tunnel.
Thanks for all your good wishes everyone , i`m sure that it made a difference
SD

Morning peeps,
wet and rainy here today but its warm.
14 degrees outside and 18 inside so that`s really good for this time of year.
The washing is mostly dry with only the thickest of clothes needing more time.
Has anyone noticed that there seem to be a lot of flying insects knocking around? They`ve usually died off long ago so it just shows how much the weather has warmed up.
Hopefully it will stay this way for a good while yet!
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon0 -
Warm here too, Sunnyday! :j:j
Coming home at 11:30 I had a long walk and had to take my jacket off at one point. Windows flung open right now to let in some fresh air.
I'm keeping a note of the units I estimate to be saving, and will use some of this "credit" for extra heating should a particularly vengeful cold spell come our way later on. :ABe careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0 -
Pleasantly mild and windy here so the heating's off. Am trying to get ahead of myself with the laundry to take advantage of the weather. Who knows, even the sheets on the bed may get treated to an early wash if this weather continues for 24 hours :rotfl:0

Well my heating was on (felt it was too cold indoors and had 2 poorly children) but its been off again since last week. Temperature really does seem to have changed. If I feel its a bit too cold I might blast the heating for 1/2 an hour but thats it, its certainly not on timed.
I too am finding loads of flying insects. Yesterday we had ladybirds, black fly and green fly! I too thought they would have all died off by now. Maybe this means they will come out later next year and leave my poor fruit trees alone lol.2 adults and 3 children DD (14), DD (12) & DS (10) :smileyhea and 2 mental beagles.

Heating is off here in East Yorkshire. Took the wee one to nursery this morning, and although it's a dull day, it was deceiving as it's actually quite warm with a nice warm breeze.
Wished I'd never put on my thick winter coat when I got home. There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.0
