The heating is still off.
It was 12c outside at 6am.It's now 4pm and it's 15c on my balcony, which is north-facing.I think that the next few days are meant to be similar.0 -

Doesn't look that much when you see the dates like that does it?
Who else needs a bit of moral support to get through the mornings next week?
Welcome aboard everyone, let's stay strong together and see if I can hang on to not put the heating on for the longest I've ever done
Hey! How we doin? Over halfway there now for the week :j
My heating is still OFF and it's mild again here today, warm and sunny for much of the day and lots of washing dried outside!
C'mon! Nearly done now 6 days down and 1 day left
And remember what I post below, its more important than worrying about keeping to the challenge
Don't worry if you don't manage this week. It's better to keep warm and cosy if you need tofinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
Still off! I felt chilly when I woke up from my nap but after a mug of tea I was fine. I wonder how long I can last?
Don't forget to adjust the clock on heating timers because of the clocks going back an hour tonight.Trying to spend less time on MSE so I can get more done ... it's not going great so far!
Sorry if I don't reply to posts - I'm having MAJOR trouble keeping up these days!

It's been balmy again here. I woke up in the middle of the night, quite hot, and had to put off the quilt and put on one fleecy blanket. That was perfect. Today out and about in Central London, very hot down in the underground. Come home all sweaty
and couldn't wait to get under the shower. Still very warm now, and no sign that the heating is remotely needed.
Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0 -
I have a constant battle in my house, my OH wants the heating on whilst i want it off till as long as it is possible. I like to have windows open and lots of fresh air, its the way i was brought up, so whats the point of having the heating on when the windows are open. I love winter but there are certain things about it i like to put off as long as possible.:j Debtfree and and staying that way.:j3-6 month emergency fund, No.61 £140.000

Can I ask a question? The people who have been holding out for as long as possible, once on do you have it on all the time? What are your temperature settings? Do you have it on for a few hours a day? I'm curious!0

The heating's been off all day but I'm feeling really cold now. Will put it on soon. Here dead we lie because we did not choose
To live and shame the land from which we sprung.
Life, to be sure, is nothing much to lose,
But young men think it is,
And we were young.

Once ours eventually goes on, it will be for an hour in the morning 6.30 - 7.30, so that it is warm to shower and get dressed etc, then maybe 2 hours evening 7 - 9 ish, not sure about temp but probably about 17 - 20 degrees

Edited to say, once it gets really cold, it will go on for longer in the evenings, but this will do for the start x0 -
