    Hi

It was warm in London today and hopefully it won't be so cold tonight. Gone up to 21 degrees in the living room (doesn't feel very warm and wonder if my cardboard stick on the wall thermometer is working)

Looks like it's warming up: the next couple of days are 16 degrees and sunny intervals. Great :j:):j:)

Doesn't look that much when you see the dates like that does it?

Who else needs a bit of moral support to get through the mornings next week?

I'll update again tomorrow as I'm off to warm up in fleecy bedding now! Welcome aboard everyone, let's stay strong together and see if I can hang on to not put the heating on for the longest I've ever done

    Evening everyone, how's everyone doing?

My heating is still OFF and strangely it's mild again here tonight which is nice!

3 days down and 4 days left so lets hope the mildness continues for a while longer.

And remember what I post below, its more important than worrying about keeping to the challenge

Don't worry if you don't manage this week. It's better to keep warm and cosy if you need to

It was on, but is now off - awaiting British Gas for the 3rd time this week

And the gas fire is bu**ered too.

Am glad it is just wet here, not too cold!
  • It's still off here.

It's been a bright, sunny and not too chilly day.The flat seemed quite cold when I got home from work, compared to the last few days, when I'd been at home most of the time.I was tempted briefly to turn one of the radiators on...but resisted.

    It's 17c in the sitting room,so can't complain!

Same here, another mild evening where I wouldn't want the heat on even if I could afford it. This is fab! Last night I was so warm I kicked off the covers and ditched the bedsocks. I think it will get chillier later on but by that time I will be all tucked up and won't care. :) Thanks for keeping me motivated fedupandskint! :T
Trying to spend less time on MSE so I can get more done ... it's not going great so far! :)
Sorry if I don't reply to posts - I'm having MAJOR trouble keeping up these days!

Do you know I wonder sometimes about these more efficient boilers, how is it energy saving when you have white vans zooming up and down country fixing these new fangled 'delicate' A rated jobbies.

My old floor standing inefficient gas boiler used about 15% more gas but only broke down twice in 25 years!

Our heating is off again today - we did have it on for a couple of days earlier this week, but it's mild again now. Apart from anything else my DH insists on leaving the back door open for the cat to come and go (we don't have a cat flap, it's a glass door, and we're hoping to buy our own house soon anyway, so don't want to spend anything on this place), so I refuse to pay to heat the outside!
