  • No heating here yet :T :T

  • We haven't put our heating on yet either, although OH complained he was cold earlier and asked if we could put it on, but I said no, go and put a jumper on :p ... he was only wearing a t-shirt!

I'm still in t-shirts indoors and don't feel cold so tough luck, when I feel cold in a fleece I might consider putting the heating on ;)

I have said all along, my heating would not be going on until November 1st. I have a small fan in the lounge, this has on occasions been on, but it heats the room up so quickly, it has not needed to be on for long. Yesterday I asked the kids if they were cold in their bedrooms and they said no, neither of them have heaters in there, but the landing heater is close to both bedrooms so if they are cold, this will go on straight away.

Today I woke up freezing !!!, but the kids were snug and warm, luckily, I have been out all day Mystery Shopping and only really came in after sorting out the Pony, so was quite warm and although it seems bitter outside, it now seems warm inside, so the heaters are still not on (yet!!).

I received my final bill from British Gas today, I have argued with them for months about my increasing monthly charge, they insist on taking £70 per month from me, yet my bill has come in at £80 for the quarter (leccy only, we don't have gas). Hopefully Powergen will be more understanding, if so, I may not have to regulate my heating come next winter.

  • Right, that's it, I've had enough of being cold: The heating is ON!
even moneysavinexpert.com cannot persuade me to wait any longer
..... but I am chuffed to bits that I held out til November :j

We have managed it up to now as well (although we have put the wood stove on - but it is skip-scavenged wood, so it is very OS!).

Last night, out with my husband, walking in the freezing wind, I told him that I was really excited that today (1st Nov.) we can put the heating on, and he agreed! Sad or wot hehee

But we forgot all about it and today it is still not on! Probably will go on soon though as the teenagers are disgusted that we are freezing them to death LOL

We have succumbed to the cold. Felt a bit guilty when DS came down this evening and got himself a hot water bottle. So, yes our CH is now officially on!

I worked out that my heating is going to cost me something like £60 for 6 months. ie: 1.5 tanks of petrol. That's cheap as far as I'm concerned.

Cor yeah, bloomin' 'eck it's cold.
I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.

Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.

I'm afraid I will be giving in and putting a couple of radiators on tomorrow, but I am chuffed to bits that I have got to the 1st November without putting it on at all. I definately think that the bathroom towel rail needs to go on tonight though as the towels are still damp.. Oh and DH just reminded me that I do still have some of the windows open when I just complained that my feet and hands are cold, and I don't have anything on my feet..

So yep tomorrow it goes on..well we are going to be having a frost here finally..lol
