punky if it was filling you would have heard the water going in. I think too that you might need a heating engineer. Also, it will be in need of a service if its been "neglected" for so long. It's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your windowEvery worthwhile accomplishment, big or little, has its stages of drudgery and triumph; a beginning, a struggle and a victory. - Ghandi0

We have finally succumbed and put the heating on, as it was really cold yesterday and I needed to scrape frost off my car. I can already feel my skin drying out from the heating!
Please excuse me if I didnt read your post right, but you said you put the heating on because you had to scrape ice of the car ...!!!!!:D:D0 -

It's really just what's comfortable for you, the trv detting depends on the size of the radiator for the room and what the heating side thermostat is set on at the boiler.
Just to let you know though mine is just below 3 in one room and just above 3 in the other as that one has a mahoosive ceiling to floor bay window in it.0 -

Well well, it was glorious and not too cold today. I went around West London and the Heathrow area for surveys and at one point I even felt... hot! That's because I never trust the weather this time of year and put an extra layer on.
Indoors it's chillier as my flat faces north and I have huge windows (doubleglazed though), but it's still quite bearable.Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0 -
True Quasar, was the same up in Leeds today, a little chilly this morning, not as cold as the rest of the week then really warm at lunchtime so much so no scarf needed and no coat and thin cardi at the same time over a thin jumper - I nearly melted in Primarni buying some more winter pjs!final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550

LOL! The bit about scraping the ice off the car was just to illustrate how cold it was - I wasn't suggesting that the heating would make any difference to my car (parked on the road outside....):rotfl:Trust me - I'm NOT a doctor!0 -
