Is your heating ON or OFF?

I put the heating on today as it is so cold. I did first take meter readings and log them into my online account. I was really pleased as I saw I was £193 in credit from being frugel this last 6 months with electric and gas. :T
I then noticed that in its wisdom the online account decided to reduce my monthly payment from £64 a month to £38 a month, I wanted it to stay at that level so I could relax knowing most of the bills for winter would be covered.Life is not the way it’s supposed to be. Still off. Been alone here today. Wearing thermal leggings beneath my troosers and wearing a thick chunky sweater and also thermal socks. It's a little chilly indoors...more than a little chilly, but the heating is off, for today at least!Grocery Challenge for October: £135/£200

Mine is on now - for the kids more than anyone as DD goes blue very quickly if she gets cold. It was 1 degree when i went out this morning and I had to defrost the car before we went out:

I was hoping to hold out until November but I've set it to come on at 06.00 tomorrow morning. We've had a log fire the last two nights so the evenings aren't so bad - it's 18C at the moment at the end of the sitting room, in the middle of the house where the stairs are. It's not so much getting out of a warm bed, it's stripping off in the freezing shower room that's so horrible. My lot are all grown up and understand things are difficult, but if I just heat the bathroom for half an hour before the first shower, Monday morning may be a bit less miserable. I have a horrid day at work tomorrow, and am waking several times a night with a tooth abscess (got antibiotics from the emergency doctor on Saturday, can't get into town to see my dentist until Tuesday), so this indulgence can last until it warms up a bit. The downstairs radiators aren't going on yet, though the girls will love their bedrooms being warmer!0

Its still OFF for now, woke up in the middle of the night and I could feel the chill. Not that I have the heating on overnight mind! Just made me think how cold it would be in the morning

We are off, apart from we had it on for an hour last night for baths. Trying so hard not to put it on.

I've had to succumb. It's below 17c in here atm, 12c outside, and forecast rain on my barometer. I've also got DS off today with asthma - he had a sleepover on Saturday night which appears to have set off his asthma (he has dust mite allergies). The doctor has given him steroids and told me to keep him off today.0

Many online accounts will allow you to adjust your own payment as long as you don't try to adjust below their figure. If not, why not ring and say you don't want your payments reduced, so you can use heating as and when you need it. Humans can understand what computers wouldn't see0
