My 3yo dd was really grumpy after her bath tonight so I dried her (all over not just her hair) with the hairdryer - made her laugh and cheered her up and cheaper than turning the heating on lolPeople seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.

Me too, had it on tonight for the first time this autumn, for a couple of hours. Probably wouldn't have done if alone, but had a visitor. Hastily put loads of damp washing on the radiators to make the most of the heat (otherwise it is taking days to dry).0 -
Heating still not on
dear son sat in his coat moaning how cold it was this afternoon, I had the windows open so closed them, will not put the heating on till the 1st November

Definately off, the nights are cooler but it was really warm in the day time yesterday. The coldest room in the house is our bedroom which is north facing so we have to duvets and a fleece blanket which keeps us toastie. I can cope with the couple of minutes in the cold that it takes me to undress/get dressed so hating will be staying off for a whiile yet. Kids are used to it.0
