Well I think I jinxed myself by what I posted this morning - temp has dropped a LOT here and we are all chilly so the heating has gone on, but as usual I will leave it on for 30 mins then off again :D Enough to take the chill of is good enough for me :)

Same here - chilly start where i was cuddled up with a wheat bag but the sun came out and now I am in a tshirt with the window open. It's great to be able to keep it switched off. If I can keep it off till November, then this winter I should only have one massive gas bill instead of two.
Trying to spend less time on MSE so I can get more done ... it's not going great so far! :)
Sorry if I don't reply to posts - I'm having MAJOR trouble keeping up these days!

off still. i'm quite surprised tbh, given how september was . it has been gorg in the sun.although wind chilly. i'm feeling quite poorly now tho, so i'm gonna wrap up in duvets tonight so i don't put heating on.been bit chilly in morning. but i still have window open in bedroom. but my hubby keeps me very warm , so don't need any more extra blankets just yet.

May I ask, d'yall leave your heating on at night or use a timer or turn it down or what?

I always turn mine off about half an hour before bedtime and set the timer for it to come on in the morning.

Last year when the temps were really lo -10 I did leave it on low all night . Hubby wasn't well and I was also scared of the pipes freezing. Thought the gas bill would be heart attack large but it wasn't too bad considering.
