Is your heating ON or OFF?

Oh it's getting a bit king billy here in the mornings and late evenings now, so have had the heating on in the morning as the bathroom is a bit cool. I ahve the fire on in the living room from about 7pm though. I am such a chicken about the cold.
Heaved the 'big' duvet on the bed today, love the warmth but the wrestling match with the king size nearly bowled me out.
Regards to all

It would be off if I could stop OH turning it to constant and then leaving it on....I am usually busy so don't feel the cold and only notice heat when I start to melt....think that constant switch might have an accident soon!

Funny you should say that, I have 'accidents' with things like that in my house too.:o0 -
Morning all,
Heating is on/:) i really didnt want to but the mornings are so cold here and so are the evenings for DD's bath. Its on low so thats good i guess. i dont mind wrapping up but DD hates being in lots and lots of layers and she gets over heated with all her playing. i admit i've had it on for a while now. Our house gets so cold during the day even with a warmish sun like yesterday,it just doesnt shine through the windows this time of year, good job DD is now at school and i can just throw on jumpers and an extra pair of socks during the days.

After having mine on for 30 mins or so a couple of times a few weeks ago, we haven't needed it since
When we got up this morning it was quite chilly but once I had a bath and rushed around getting DDs ready and walked to school, I am roasting now! Everyone else was in coats at the school... Me, I am like the readybrek advert I thinkI do suffer with cold, but never ever in the mornings... Weird

I'm tempted to put ours on for an hour this morning. I am soooo cold!0 -
Ours is on for an hour and a half morning and evening for getting up and going to bed, last night we took hotties to bed.
Its not been so bad during the day time, its coolish this morning in the sitting room but the heat is not on in here anyway, the stove heats the sitting room. Have not had it on since staurday night. I light the sitting room fire after lunch if we are 'sitting in' otherwise it goes on at supper time, a couple of logs does us for the evening. The new stove sure belts out some heat. I checked the oil tank and we have over 3/4 of a tank left......should see us through the winter unless its really dire. Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
My heating is on 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The thermostaic time switch has yet to start the pump this term.0

Mine has been on for the last 24hrs and will probably stay on now until April, May time. We have a coal fire and our heating runs off that, even when I turn the heating 'off' the radiators are still warm lol, bit of a pain in the bum in mid autumn when the temp can change so quickly lmao.0

Still off here :j
The weather station says its 16 degrees inside and 10 degrees outside so its not exactly warm. I`ve got washing outside on the line and theres no wind to blow it dry and its overcast and very dull - no brightness at all.
I`ll hang the washing indoors before i go to work and if its not dry i`ll stick it in the dryer for 20 minutes when the electricity switches over to economy 7 at midnight. It`s the dressing gowns that have been washed too i`ll really miss mine later.
DH and the dogs will be home later from a 5 day camping trip so it should feel warm inside the house to them so i`ve no worries about him clicking the heating on. He can`t see the time or buttons properly on the control without his reading glasses on which he can never find so i should stay safe to keep it off until at least November if not longer.:D
Here`s to low heating bills this winter
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon0 -
