Is your heating ON or OFF?

I was just thinking, maybe it would be a good thing if I could hold off putting the heating on regularly until November. We're already well into October and I've only put it on for bursts of an hour or two here and there. (I mean, I'm doing well with the No Spend Days, so there's room for a little more money-saving in these parts.)
I've always been the first person to put on a cardigan or vest and start wearing bedsocks! This is why I'm pleasantly surprised to think maybe snuggling on the sofa under a single duvet might be preferable to having the heating on as a matter of course - for another few weeks at least.
I mean, it's so mild so far. I still have my summer weight duvet (4.5 tog) on the bed! This is unheard of! And I'm toasty as can be with my feline hot water bottle/companion settled near my feet somewhere.Keep on doing what you're doing, and you'll keep on getting what you've got. :A0 -
still no heating.
very sunny and a nice breeze down on isle of wight today. which is good as it bed change day today. so i have done 5 loads of washing and it all on line drying.
if it chilly tonight i will get my duvet. not feeling very well today. have a cold coming and my youngest son is full of cold.0 -
It's cool indoors but not freezing...the sun is shining, though not warm and there is still a chill in the air outdoors. Have put two loads of washing out though so hopefully it will be quite dry by the time i bring it in a few hours from now. Heating won't be going on today. Nor tomorrow or Wednesday as i will be out both days.Grocery Challenge for October: £135/£200

My heating is... (drumroll please) ...off! Though I suspect my OH has had a sneaky 5 minutes here and there when I've been at work. I'm currently living in a new build flat that was roasting hot over the summer, but as of next week will be in a house, so expect that will be our breaking point for the heating.0

off, lovely 20 degrees today0

Still off
I put it on for ten minutes a couple of weeks ago - just enough to check that the radiators get hot and everything still works.
Its lovely and warm today but we had a few parky nights not long ago.
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon0 -

Ours hasn't been on since last winter. I think I might have to turn it on for half an hour or so in the mornings just to dry the towels off this week coming.
I can't find the instructions for the timer though and I need to change the time, the clock seems to run slow and it's now about 10 mins behind. Will have to have a dig as I must have put it somewhere safe when we had our kitchen changed this summer."If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair0 -
