It's 18.5 degrees in doors and still no heating on.
Why do people say they have no heating on yet have a coal/log fire burning? Just because the central heating isn't on doesn't mean you have no heating.0 -

Very true!! It all costs (unless you own a forest). :rotfl:Get to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs

I put more clothes on and the kids didn't complain when they came in so have stuck it out. The house always feels warmer when I'm not alone here.
I think we'll put it on tomorrow though. December 1st not bad. I only have CH no secondary heating so I will really be turning the heating on for the 1st time this year.:j Trytryagain FLYLADY - SAYE £700 each month Premium Bonds £713 Mortgage Was £100,000@20/6/08 now zilch 21/4/15:beer: WTL - 52 (I'll do it 4 MUM)0 -
I've resisted posting on this thread til now. Why is it that my DH absolutely refuses to put a jumper or even a vest on with his plain long-sleeved shirt and just belts the heating up? I'm now sitting here 'glowing' (according to the saying) in a T-shirt and skirt. I've even had to take my wooly tights off because my legs felt too warm! My sons are now 'perspiring' in their duvets too.
Grrrrr!!!!!!!0 -
Ohhh at last it's on for me. Very chilly today and I've decided to have a comfy evening.Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0

My heating is still off, but I'm a rufty tuffty Geordie living 15 miles from the south coast. They don't know what cold is down here!
While I'm here.
I go shopping around 7.00pm most evenings, and pass my next door neighbour's living room window (no gardens, just a path).
Every time I pass he's sitting in shorts and a t-shirt, nothing else (not even socks and shoes), in front of a four "bar" halogen heater with all four "bars" on!0 -
still no heating, though DH is now sulking that its not on yet (even in tshirt and jumper
) will probably let him have it on when he's back off night shifts
