I'm sitting here in short sleeves and no heating. Only slightly nippy, I'd say bracing. I can't believe how mild it still is! :T

I have to agree Q, still in my tee shirt & no heating. I'm just hoping it lasts for a few more weeks yet :j

SC still off and staying that way. I must say sitting with a fleese over my legs is very cosy and can feel the added warmth. I do not rise to the look at you granny comments, everyone in our house quietly curls up under fleeses.

At work everyone is in t.shirts or cotton shirts - you can see the heat bills must be a lot higher than our homes.
Wile there heating is on mine is off at home. :j
Just thought of something funny... Oh came to collect me from work yesterday and said " you are not going out there like that are you"? just had a t.shirt on, he had to remind me to put my fleese jacket on to walk out to the carpark.
If winter comes, can spring be far behind?

I've actually put my heating on now, but the thermostat is set at 16deg - so very unlikely to 'click on' until the temperatures really drop further.

    Hi

My heating is off but I'm going to have to put it on today because I'm getting overrun by washing and have no other way of getting it dry. (We live in a flat and although a washer/drier comes with it it is of no use whatsoever in getting clothes dry)

    Morning everyone

Still off here. I never thought we would get to Nov 1st but this recent warm spell has made it much easier.

the original target was to get to today - and as inlaws from spain are arriving on Tuesday - i guess that will be the time we put the heating on.

I hope we have saved on our heating bills - ours for last winter were horrendus as our house is old with a back boiler and very difficult to heat.

YAY!!!.. well a lot of us made it to November without putting the heating on..

Ollie.. that's a grand idea.. putting it on with thermostat really low.. is that for overnight too? It is hard getting out of bed into a freezing cold room at 7am.

We have an old Victorian house which is fairly huge and the bills were extortionate last year, I am hoping to get carpet or lino down in the hallway before December which will hopefully make a difference to the draughts there, which impact the whole house obviously. I have also got quotes for new double glazed kitchen windows and am hunting for curtains for the doors.

I will get that winter bill down if it kills me!! lol

On to the next goal... December 1st!!! Thoguh it is pouring with rain here and the kittens keep sleeping on the only heat source.. my laptop!!! And OH's laptop.. they do overheat his regularly though lol
