Still off here - supposedly a little warmer today, but I'm not that sure it was. Lovely day forecast for tomorrow but with a 'North Wind' - brrrrrrrrrr.

Have been looking at my fleece sofa throws and wondering how I convert one into some kind of poncho/wrap style garment.

I'm thinking about folding it in half across the narrowest width, cutting from the bottom edge to half way and then creating a 'neck shape'. Would have to find some way of 'binding the edges.

Then stitch press studs either side to form the 'sleeve depth' and possibly down the front to close off the front opening .

I reckon that would be lovely and warm for sitting at the comp - like being enveloped in the fleece blanket BUT with armholes to make typing easier :j.

on here earlier but seems to have gone off again now, but very glad of it too. Ours is on a programable thermostat so comes on automatically when the temp drops below a certain level. Never turn it 'off' as such. I've lived without central heating with small kids and never plan to do it again, let alone live like I don't have it when I do!

Heating is still off. Sat here in a t-shirt and don't feel cold at all.

I did feel a little chilly a couple of days ago, but ran a nice hot bubble bath and soon warmed through.

No heating needed today. I arrived home and the house was freezing inside. I opened all the windows to let the warm air in and it soon warmed up.

off & I am freezing *brrrrrr*

I don't mind extra layers etc etc but I have a 8m old baby who has freezing cold hands may have to give in soon for his sake!

Dont worry too much about his hands (or feet), a good way to find out if your little one is cold before they can tell you is to feel their backs (maybe the tops of their arms/back of neck as well) - if they are cold there then extra layers and maybe the heating on then!

I always check DSs back, he's a very warm blooded boy like his father anyway (he is currently in bed with just his nappy on)

Still lovely and warm here, been quite muggy. Have got the patio door open and I'm in shirt sleeves :)

I'm just gonna cut to the chase here - my motto is (within reason) if you're cold, put the heating on. Obvioulsy try having a bath ( works for me) / cuppy / put jumper on etc, but reallly, there's nothing worse than being cold and miserable and if you can afford to put the heating on, put it on for a time!!!!

I've been told check the back of the neck or the top of his chest - I did this and said to the Midwife 'But how do I know if he's too hot?'
She said to compare it with mine but I'm always cold!

My Jack has 4 layers of balnket at night yet my friend's LO just has a sheet and he still sweats buckets!

Heating still off here - I'm wearing a bra, vest, t-shirt, hoodie, jogging bottoms tucked into slipper socks and slippers which are boots. With Jack on my chest I'm toasty warm!

Was warmer outside than inside though today - very annoying cos I went out in a coat and scarf and didn't need them!
