I am still resisting, stayed at OH's last night and surprisingly his flat doesn't get that cold (and it's nice snuggling up in one of his jumpers!), I have a new target- 8th November. I am away on a business trip (oo-er hark at me!) so will be away from 30th October.
If I do succomb I will be heating my bedroom only and eating my dinner in there if I have to!Saving for an early retirement!0 -
Had to put the storage heater on in the childrens bedroom last night. Must admit it's nicer in there this morning.
We lit a log fire last night as we were so cold in the living room:rolleyes:0 -
We put ours on a while back as I feel the cold badly with me ailments, but always have socks on and a jumper:eek:  :eek:To repeat what others have said, requires education, to challenge it,requires brains!FEB GC/DIESEL £200/4 WEEKS0

i only have one blanket on the bed, and come december/january there are usually 3, so for now it's not too bad for me!! i did use the electric blanket before i got into bed last night though, and had some tealights burning in the evening (they can really heat up a room). i'm going to try and hold out until november if i can (but living with other people it may not be a choice i can make)..... and keeping myself warm stops me putting on any weight and for me that's a major incentive!!:happyhear0

Although it was a bit chilly last night, I'm still holding out. The upstairs is still quite warm, but the downstairs is open-plan so a bit harder to deal with. I have a pretty blanket on the back of the sofa that I can grab if I get the shivers.:j Every day in every way, learning to money save:j0

No heating on here yet, have actually been finding it quite warm still at night, but then I'm nearly 8 months pregnant so my body temp is all over the place anyway! Will see how it goes at the weekend, but might put the storage heater in the living room on next week if only to get the washing dried quicker!Total Debt (27th Nov 08) £16,707.03 Now £5,102.72Debt Free Date [strike]Nov 2012[/strike] August 20110

Gave in just to test ours this morning to make sure all was OK. There's nothing like the smell of undisturbed dust burning behind the radiators to indicate that winter's on it's wayEek! Someone's stolen my signature! :eek:0

OH asked last night if we could have the heating on but I said no and told him to put a jumper on, got the thicker quilts on the beds, started layering my clothes and putting the kids in long sleeves. Been out trying to find some slippers £12 in House of Fraser! must pop to Asda.
Might have to succumb because of clothes not drying though.0 -
I've got my storage heater set to come on overnight tonight for the first time.... just to take the dampness off with all this rain...4 May 20100
