Is your heating ON or OFF?

On and off, bit of both, depends how I am feeling. Its not off for good yet, definitely not warm enough.A cloudy day is no match for a sunny disposition~ William Arthur Ward ~0

CH off since 1st March in Kent. I treated myself for an hour on Tuesday and OH had the fire on on Thursday when I was at work and wasn't able to stop him. Although it isn't toasty, he is not really complaining as he would have done last year. I think that this is because I have been stingy all winter anyway!!There are times when parenthood seems nothing but feeding the mouth that bites you Peter De VriesDebt free by 40 (27/11/2016)0

Hi all
good to see the on-off usual suspectsback on the on-off heating discussion!
Mine has been off for the last few days and I hope to continue this way, no heating now until 1.11.2009 (yeh right watch this space!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: ).
I tried for 1 October this time but succumbed mid-Sept due to OH moaning. I think 1 Nov might be pushing it!! :rotfl: :rotfl:There are times when parenthood seems nothing but feeding the mouth that bites you Peter De VriesDebt free by 40 (27/11/2016)0 -
I didn't have the heating on yesterday while I was at home because I have rediscovered the delights of the gilet/body warmer. Had an old one hanging up in the shed at the allotment and it somehow got into the coat cupboard at home so that kept me nice and toasty while I was cleaning up.
Have not put the heating on yet today, although I am sitting in my son's huge black hoodie as I type.0 -
We don't even have central heating here and we've turned all of the storage heaters off. It's still actually quite pleasant however due to the excellent insulation. It's not easy having a good time. Even smiling makes my face ache.0

Mine's just on now, DH turned it on as it's really cold today and lashing down outside.
But it's normally on the timer a couple of hours a day.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old style MoneySaving boards.

Our heating goes off end of April but I also have Air Conditioning as backup heating for when the main central heating goes off... we have no control over it.
A few mornings due to me working nights I have had the a/c on in the bedroom as the sun has been beaming through the bay windows which have blackout curtains on them and as they are black on one side the bedroom is like the balearics.
The other night at work the a/c was not working so it was 30c in the building due to all the computers, not nice at all!If you found my post helpful, please remember to press the THANKS button! --->0 -
ive turned ours off yesterday and no one has noticed yet lol0

Heating has been off for four or five days let's see if this is it till September / October.0

Well, true to my word, ours was switched from 'Timer' to 'Off' this morning. Hopefully it will stay like that until 1st November - though I'm open to very strong persuasion and low temps from about mid-October - which would make it 6mths of each
.
However we do have two grandbabies. If they're visiting and the temps feel a bit chilly, then the rads will go back on again for while they're here - I'm not prepared to have babies feeling cold.0
