Is your heating ON or OFF?

Ours has just been set all winter to come on when the temp dropped below 17C and for the past few weeks the radiators haven't felt like they have been on through the night or early morning. I have only felt the need to switch it on a couple of times in the same few weeks, just late afternoon/evening for a good couple of hours. But we seem to have been quite lucky where we are this winter as it hasn't really been too cold - in fact we spent quite a bit of the winter with no heating on, sometimes just popping the fire on in the late afternoon/evenings.Love and compassion to all x0

The heating's been on and off over the last week, and I lit the fire too on Wednesday. I'd managed to convince myself we wouldn't need it any more, but forgot it was only March ~ in like a lamb, out like a lion.I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.
Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.0 -
OFF right now may go on later though as a tad chilly0

Ours is still timed to come on for an hour in the morning to take the chill off but other than that I just switch it on & off manually when needed. We've got an old system that hasn't got a thermostat just a dial on the boiler that says 1-5, I've got it turned to 2 but haven't got a clue what temperature that is!Dum Spiro Spero0

Mine is still on. half an hour in the morning., and 5.30 pm till 930pm. It is only set at 15 though as it has been all winter. It is still cold with the wind and has been coming on. I did turn it right off for a couple of weeks last month when it was mild. But put it back on timed for the moment.Anyone who lives within their means suffers from a lack of imagination:beer:

Just switched ours on again. There's a bitter wind this morning and despite wearing two sweaters and a fleece I'm feeling chilled to the bone. Just putting the heat back on for an hour makes all the difference.0

My heating has been on and off. I tried to do without it but yesterday was so cold that I gave in and switched it back on. No point in suffering." The greatest wealth is to live content with little."

ours comes on for an hour and a half in the morning to take the chill off the morning and then we have been putting in on randomly in the evening depending on whether we are feeling the cold or not. Makes a change from it being on nearly daytime during the snow! (Having said that I have got it on now because I felt really cold despite three layers including a jumper!)0
