My thermostat said 15.5 when I got up.

The past couple of days have been sunny and the days are now noticeably lighter. Its funny how much it has lifted my mood now I don't feel like I am living in the dark ages any more!No man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.4 -
Its still very chilly here still. It was frosty and -3degrees this morning and the same is expected again for tomorrow so heating is still on all day although I have noticed it is getting lighter in the mornings.4

I find it hard to imagine any circumstances in which I would actually use my gas central heating on any sort of regular basis - it is just so disgustingly expensive and really not that efficient. I did have it set to come on if the bathroom dropped below 8 degrees while I was away on holiday over Christmas just to avoid frozen pipes but otherwise I much prefer to heat myself and have an occasional blast of the fan heater if it gets really cold.Debt Free Wannabe by 1 December 2027

Deep seated hatred of Scottish Power and all who sail in her - would love to see Ofgem grow a pair and actually do something about it.2 -

DH likes her heated blanket, and has just had a rechargeable hot water bottle for her birthday. They seem a good idea for people with difficulty filling a traditional hot water bottle. They are said to heat to about 70°C and stay hot for five hours.5

I haven't had any heating on since the afternoon of 6 March.
But I'm still taking a little comfort in having a hot water bottle at bedtime.5 -
Still coming on twice daily, boiler temp reduced and an hour less per day.
Because my thermostat location is several degrees warmer than my cold bedroom, and that location is retaining heat from daytime sunshine, I've had to increase the target temperature for the evening timer so the bedroom radiator gets sufficiently heated.
Living room radiator turned down this week but I'll probably put it back up when the weather changes Tuesday.
I've been tempted to stop timed use and switch to manual, but next week it's going to cool considerably compared to this week and overnight temperatures are heading below freezing again.
Not quite yet, but soon 😊3 -
Still on first thing in the morning with a boost in the evening. It's been off during the day over the last few mild days but I suspect that will change this coming week when the cooler weather returns.Be kind to others and to yourself too.2

Sitting room temperature at 8 am today was 10.7 deg C.
So I did light the gas fire.
Less than 4 hours later it is 14.9 deg C and I'll turn the fire off soon when I go out.3
