It always feels colder when its damp @Nelliegrace.We finally got a dry day today, but it was -2 degrees and frosty earlier, but we had sleet and rain the previous 2 days. According to the forcast on tv its getting warmer Wednesday/Thursday this week. I've had my heating on at 17 degrees in the day and 13 degrees overnight and I pop my dressing gown on over my clothes if I'm still chilly and drink plenty of hot tea. Hope everyone is staying safe and warm.3

I've been able to leave heating off until about 2pm. I'm ok in the morning doing jobs or out shopping etc5 -

I am feeling very chilly today. I have three layers on and the heating has been on for an hour. I had to go and get a hot water bottle as well.6

Heating is on at 18 as usual - I put it on when I get up and turn it off just before bed. Put it up to 19 if I need the extra heat. Still in credit.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

The sun shone today, the thermostat turned the heating off in the day. It starts to feel cold in the house as soon as the sun goes down, so I draw the curtains to keep the warmth in, and put on some extra layers before I get cold. Time for a pot of tea.6

Mine is still on for early mornings and later in the evening. During the day it's not needed quite so much as I'm either out or keeping warm by doing housework but I'm not averse to clicking it on during the day for a boost when it's needed. Too early in the year yet to turn it off altogether. My living room doesn't benefit much from the sun - two windows, a small one facing North (no sun at all) and a large one facing West (only gets the sun from about 4 pm onwards). Now if I could pick up the building and turn it around by 90 deg .............Be kind to others and to yourself too.5
