  • Spent 2 hours messing with the bloody thermostat, batteries had done their 2 yearly running out!! Replaced batteries and set thermostat - nothing- rinse and repeat again and again - still nothing. Eventually turned the boiler off for 15 minutes, and turned it back on, This caused the receiver for the thermostat receiver to reboot and start up, after the boiler had done it's venting program. Heating came on then turned off 5 minutes later as timer had reached its cut off time.

So heating was on for 5 mins - should be warmer at some point tomorrow.

  • I’ve had my heating on in the mornings and evenings just to take the chill off but it’s not needed for long because we are a mid terrace so it’s warm.
Trying to change my life and will:money:
  • Ive dug my electric heaters out of the cupboard under the stairs (also got that all important meter reading done!).
TBH though Ive checked the weather and if its accurate I should be able to hold off on the heating, hopefully towards the end of october.

  • Yesterday was so wet yet surprisingly warm - not just mild! - for the time of year! But admittedly, it does cool down at night.

So much to read, so little time.

I felt quite chilly earlier, but didn't put the heating on yet. My husband has come down with a cold after going out in London at the weekend and I thought maybe I was too. I might put it on tonight for an hour or two if he wants to.

I feel okay now as I put on a different top. I bought a hooded sweatshirt at a charity shop last week and it is doing the trick. I do find that having my feet and neck protected seems to help me feel overall warmer. i bought a couple of roll neck jumpers from Amazon to wear this winter and I might look for a few more in the chazzers.

Mine is still off and will stay off until it snows. Outside temp has been as low as 6 daytime, and we had a few frosts a few weeks ago.
